Most manufacturers of washing machines have designated all modes and functions using labels. The user does not have to think about which button means what. But there are also cars that have nothing but badges. How then do you understand which one means rinsing, which one means washing, which one means spinning? Let's focus on the rinse mode, find out its designation and how to use it correctly.
What does the Rinse icon look like?
Regardless of the brand of washing machine, the rinse mode is indicated by the same icon. It looks like a basin with a wavy line or straight lines indicating the presence of water. All programs that are available on washing machines are divided into four groups:
- washing stages;
- main modes;
- additional modes;
- special functions.
The rinsing mode belongs to the first group. On many washing machines it is located separately, so you can easily rinse your laundry in the washing machine without starting the washing process. We also note that sometimes the rinsing program is combined with spinning. In this case, you will see the inscription “Rinse + Spin” on the washing machine. In this case, in order to just rinse the item, the spin will need to be turned off.
The water will drain automatically during rinsing.
In machines with the inscription “Rinse”, the spin cycle must be turned on, if necessary. This differentiation of washing stages is necessary in order not to spoil items made from delicate fabrics, because some of them are prohibited from being wrung out.
How to use this mode
Using the rinse mode is quite simple.On machines such as Samsung, Lg, Indesit, you just need to turn the toggle switch to the “Rinse” position. A very useful feature in machines is additional rinsing. It is turned on by pressing a button or a combination of buttons on the control panel. But you can’t set additional rinsing for all programs.
For example, this function can be used for the “Baby Clothes” and “Cotton” programs. But for accelerated modes, for example, “Quick 30”, “Express 15”, “Hand Wash”, this function is not applicable. It's all about the duration of the cycle; it is physically impossible to shorten an already short wash.
Due to the fact that quite a large number of low-quality washing powders for automatic machines have appeared on the modern market, the quality of washing has become noticeably worse. The fact is that the powder is simply very poorly soluble in water and, accordingly, the solution is less well enriched with cleaning chemicals. Moreover, undissolved granules eat into the fabric, leaving chemical traces and a pungent odor on it.
If you run into such powder, there is no need to wash your clothes. Run the rinse mode separately several times in a row or the secondary rinse mode a couple of times. The machine will soak the items in cold water for an hour and remove all undissolved powder from the fabric, along with the unpleasant odor and dangerous allergens.
Repeated rinsing is great even if you were careless to wash your baby’s clothes in low-quality powder.
There may not be a rinse icon on the washing machine, and the inscription may not be preserved.
