Is it possible to pour powder into the drum of a washing machine?
Everyone knows that capsules with liquid detergents can be put directly into the drum for the best benefit, for this they are intended. But is it possible to crank up such a trick with powder? Many netizens are actively advising this approach, although it is strictly advised in all instructions not to add detergent directly to the drum. So who is still right?
The danger of such actions
Agree, if the manufacturers of detergents or washers do not recommend pouring powder into the drum, then there is some reason for this. Indeed, liquid detergents are much milder and plus they dissolve well in water due to their structure. And the powder has a structure consisting of hard granular particles, among which there are colored ones. If such a granule gets on clothing, a speck may remain.
In addition, solid powders and bleaches are very aggressive. If they are placed in a powder receptacle, the machine itself will evenly distribute the product so as not to spoil the laundry. But if you put the detergent inside the washing machine, the clothes will invariably come into contact with aggressive chemicals, which may leave stains on the fabric or, even worse, even holes.
If you think that the powder in the drum with good dissolution improves the quality of washing, get a special device in the form of a ball with holes in which the powder is poured. The ball is placed in the drum, and therefore the clothes will not be damaged due to increased contact with the detergent.

Do not exceed the dose of detergent
Contrary to popular belief, the quality of the wash is not directly proportional to the amount of powder. Maybe there will be a feeling that the linen is fresher and cleaner, but this is only a misleading impression, but the problems from an overdose of powder are quite real.
- Clogged nozzles. Solid powder is extremely poorly soluble. And if you throw it a lot, the remnants will inevitably settle on some parts of the machine, dry up, and real problems begin.
- Uneconomical. You will simply waste money, spending powder twice as much as you need for a good wash.
- Corruption of things. This has already been mentioned above.
Now the question arises: how to guess with the amount of powder, if each manufacturer recommends a dose. There are generally accepted norms that state that for one kilogram of linen you need to fill up one tablespoon of the product. Accordingly, roughly figure out what proportion of the 6 boot kilograms your items make up and fill in the appropriate dose of the product.
Attention! For ease of calculation, load the machine fully. Then you will probably know that it contains 6 kg of linen (or another figure, depending on the load) and you can easily calculate how many tablespoons of powder you need.
Powder Tray Basics
As a rule, there are no problems finding a powder compartment. On standard frontal cars, it is located in the upper left corner above the hatch door, and in vertical ones, on the side or on the inside of the hatch.
Why does the compartment have three compartments? This question is often asked by those who operate the washer for the first time. Usually the first compartment is indicated by the number I, the second - I.I, and the third *.
For normal washing, use the compartment in the middle or the second in a row, as you wish. There powder is poured or a liquid agent is poured. Compartments at the edges are used for special occasions. The first is for heavy soiling, if you choose some kind of aggressive washing mode, and the last is for the air conditioner. Typically, the machine launches the contents of this compartment at the last stage of washing.
