Where to pour powder in a Bosch washing machine

powder tray in SM BoschIt’s not difficult to figure out where to put the powder in a Bosch washing machine in order to achieve the best possible wash. Many housewives, without even bothering to read the instructions, begin to pour in the product on a whim, and then it turns out that they poured it into the wrong compartment. We decided to resolve this issue once and for all by telling in a short publication about which compartment of the cuvette of a Bosch front-loading and vertical-loading washing machine you should pour this or that laundry detergent into. Without further delay, let's begin.

Add powder

Most often, we just need to wash our clothes with standard washing machine powder. Pull out the powder tray and inspect it. The cuvette of a Bosch brand washing machine most often has three compartments:

  • left compartment, the widest and deepest;
  • middle compartment, narrow with a plastic tongue;
  • the right compartment, which differs from the left in slightly smaller sizes.

We will be interested in the left compartment for now. Since it is the widest and deepest, it means this is the compartment for the main wash. It will hold a lot of powder and that is where we will pour this powder. Symbols that are embossed at the front help you locate the main wash compartment. The main wash compartment is designated either by the Roman numeral II, the Arabic numeral 2, or the letter B. Most often you can find II. If you see this designation, it means you can pour powder into this tray.

If you choose a program that involves pre-soaking things, you also need to pour powder into the right tray. It is smaller in size and can be designated:

  • Roman numeral I;
  • Arabic numeral 1;
  • letter A.

There is no need to put powder in this tray unless you include pre-soak. The product will not be flushed into the tank on time and the quality of the wash will be seriously affected.

Trays of top-loading washing machines have approximately the same arrangement of cells and the same designations, only these trays look different. The left cell is intended for additional washing, the middle (large) one for the main wash. Nothing complicated.

No need to pour into the cell washing powder, until you are sure of the purpose of this cell. If you have a non-standard tray without markings, and you are not sure where to pour or add this or that product, read the instructions for your Bosch washing machine.

Add the rest of the laundry detergent

Housewives are also interested in where to pour the conditioner, as well as liquid powder. Let's start with the air conditioner. In a standard tray, the rinse aid compartment is located in the middle. It is impossible to confuse it, since it is partially covered by the locking tongue, which is different in color. This cell is small in size, but it can easily hold 30-50 ml of fabric softener, which will give the washed items a unique aroma and softness.

With the rinse aid everything is simple, but where to pour the liquid powder, because there is no special compartment for it. In fact, in modern expensive Bosch washing machines the cuvette is divided not into three, but into four compartments. The fourth compartment is used for liquid powder, but this is rather an exception to the rule. The vast majority of Bosch machine trays do not have a compartment for gel, which means that it must be poured into the main wash compartment (II) or into a special plastic container, which in turn is placed in the drum along with dirty laundry.In both cases, the washing quality will be acceptable, but the machine will not be able to unleash the full potential of the liquid product.container for product

In addition to the usual detergents, special capsules for washing are actively used. They should not be placed in a powder receptacle, as they do not dissolve well there. Capsules should be placed in a special container, and this container should be placed in a drum.

Why can't you put the capsule directly into the drum on the pile of dirty laundry? The fact is that when dissolved, the capsule will release a concentrated detergent, which, if it gets on the item, can ruin it, leaving a stain. A plastic container will ensure gradual dissolution of the capsule and prevent the concentrate from getting directly onto things.

So, we discussed everything we wanted within the framework of this topic. If you have any questions, ask them on the forum or in the comments to the article, and here we end our story and wish you good luck!
