How to fill the dishwasher?

To ensure high quality dishwashing, it is important to choose the right cleaning agent. The question of how to fill a dishwasher may arise for both an experienced user of the unit and a new owner of the equipment. On average, a kilogram pack of salt is enough for about 6 months of use.

2. Detergents. They can have a gel-like formula, be presented in the form of capsules, dry powder, tablets, plates, etc. They are necessary for high-quality cleaning of dishes.
3. Rinse aid. Used for final processing of dishes.Gives cutlery a pleasant aroma of cleanliness and freshness, prevents streaks, and ensures better drying quality.
4. Degreaser. Loads into the dishwasher when cleaning greasy dishes. It does not allow the components of the machine to become covered with a greasy coating.
5. Antiscale. Copes perfectly with the lime layer, thereby increasing the service life of the unit. Should be used approximately once every three months.

Features of using salt

In almost one hundred percent of cases, the water coming from the water supply network into the dishwasher system requires preliminary softening. Therefore, each machine is equipped with an ion exchanger that performs this function. It prepares hard water for further use by equipment. In order for the ion exchanger to cope with the task, it needs salt. The required volume of salt composition can be determined by three methods:

• manually measuring the hardness of tap water and entering the “extracted” data into the device’s memory;
• find out this information at the city Vodokanal and enter it into the equipment’s storage system;
• by purchasing a dishwasher that is capable of automatically assessing water hardness and determining the required salt consumption.

The salt is loaded into the ion exchanger using a special funnel included with the composition.

How to properly fill a substance into a car? Before running the dishwasher for the first time, pour water into the ion exchanger and add a kilogram of salt. For subsequent use, you do not need to add water, you just need to add salt detergent.Salt consumption is not affected by the frequency of washing programs, it depends on the volume of water passed through the system.

The vast majority of modern dishwashers are equipped with an ion exchanger full indicator. Therefore, you do not need to remember the date of adding salt, you just have to watch the light on the dashboard, and if it starts to glow, add detergent to the reservoir.

Adding Detergents

Salt, although it is a necessary element for the functioning of the machine, still does not have a direct purpose for cleaning dishes. To remove dirt from the surface of cutlery, special detergents are used: powders, gels, capsules, etc.

The powder dissolves in water better than other detergents and is ideal for short cleaning regimes. The product is also used much more economically, since the user can independently regulate its dosage. The powder should be poured into a perfectly dry tray to prevent it from accumulating on the walls of the hoses.

Dishwasher tablets. They dissolve much more slowly than the powder mixture, so they are suitable for long washing programs. Some manufacturers of tablets provide them with substances that additionally soften water. Different tablets are designed for different hardnesses of tap liquid. On store shelves you can find tablets that have several multi-colored layers. These “3 in 1” products can cope not only with cleaning dishes and softening water, but also serve as a rinse aid.

Let us remind you that rinse aid helps to achieve a crystal shine on the surface of the dishes and ensure better drying. A special dispenser will help you correctly determine the volume of product poured into the compartment.Using the scale with marks, it is very easy to measure the required amount.

If you do not follow the proportions of powder and dish rinse aid, you can see whitish spots remaining on the surface of kitchen utensils. To eliminate this problem, first try rinsing the utensils by pouring the product up to mark 4. Dishes that remain damp after drying indicate the need to increase the dose of rinse aid. If items are completely dry but have a white residue, lower the conditioner level.

It is not necessary to use rinse aid during the washing process; the product can be added as desired.

Machine cleaning compounds

It is very important not to forget about the means used to prevent the formation of scale, limescale, fat deposits, and mold in the system. It is necessary to thoroughly clean the dishwasher once a quarter, and clean the filters after two or three washing programs.

   I also don’t like using the dishwasher; it’s easier and faster by hand. But it helps a lot when there is no hot water in the house. Plus saving water, plus glassware without streaks and without the need to wipe it with a towel.
