Spare parts for Bosch dishwashers

dishwasher spare partsHow complex a household appliance is a modern Bosch dishwasher? Some ordinary people suggest that it is not very difficult. In fact, a huge number of different spare parts can be extracted from an ordinary faulty dishwasher. They will subsequently be very useful for repairing “home assistants”, which can still be returned to service. We decided to devote today’s article to spare parts for Bosch dishwashers. Let's try to at least briefly describe them all.

Main building

95% of the main body of a Bosch dishwasher consists of a washing chamber, which contains a fairly large number of spare parts. The remaining 5% comes from external elements, which we will also try not to forget about. So, what parts can you find inside the washing chamber?

  1. Water supply pipe with turbine. This is the base on which the sprinklers are mounted. Through this tube, water under pressure is supplied to the sprinkler from the depths of the circulation block.
  2. Sprayers and sprinklers. These elements may look different, but they have the same function - supplying water in small streams to dirty dishes.

Spray arms are used for washing baking trays and large dishes, while rotating spray arms are suitable for all other dishes.

  1. Pan cover, mesh filter and coarse and fine filter. These elements can be found at the bottom of the washing chamber and prevent large pieces of food from entering the machine system.
  2. Shelves for cutlery and glass holders. The purpose of these elements is well known to any user and does not require description.
  3. Baskets for dishes.Bosch dishwashers have upper and lower baskets for dishes. The lower one is more spacious and is designed for large dishes. The upper basket is used for all sorts of small items.
  4. Rollers for baskets. This is a necessary accessory that allows baskets to move freely along the guides.

main body parts

The washing chamber itself is welded from high-quality stainless steel. The entrance to the chamber is bordered by a U-shaped rubber seal, which helps to tightly close the washing chamber while the machine is operating. Directly above the entrance on the chamber lid there is a mechanical door lock and a locking device that serves as protection against small children. It is easiest to buy spare parts contained in the main body, but they also fail more often.

PMM door

Something as simple as a Bosch dishwasher door also contains a number of details that you should pay attention to.

  • Firstly, this is the door body itself, which consists of high-quality stainless steel. The door body is replaced extremely rarely if it was subject to severe deformation as a result of the dishwasher falling. It is very difficult to find this element in parts catalogs.
  • Secondly, there is a door sensor that determines whether it is open or closed. This sensor helps the control module communicate with the door.
  • Thirdly, the door handle, which helps the user to open and close the dishwasher conveniently.
  • Fourthly, the bottom seal, which prevents water from leaking under the door from below.
  • And finally, fifthly, a dishwasher dispenser, which has special compartments for powder, rinse aid and dishwashing tablets.

Control module

The electronic brain of a Bosch dishwasher is the control module.It consists of several elements, but the main one is the control board. It is she who ensures the functionality of all systems. Self-repair and replacement of the control board is highly undesirable. In addition to the control board, the control module has a push-button or touch panel on which it is installed, including a display. The panel helps the user configure the dishwasher by selecting different programs and washing modes.

A network button is located separately on the control panel. For security reasons, it is placed in a separate hidden case and is provided with power, bypassing the control board, although not always.

Pallet parts

The technicians at any service center will tell you that the lion's share of spare parts is contained in the lower part of the Bosch dishwasher body, in the tray. The pallet is hidden from the user’s eyes, but during operation of the machine this is where all the main events take place:

  • pumping water from the water supply;
  • water heating;
  • preparing a mixture of detergents;
  • preparing a solution for rinsing dishes;
  • draining waste water.

pallet parts

It is in the pallet that a great many different parts are compactly located, connected by pipes and bundles of wires; let’s describe them. Let's start with one of the main components of the pan - the heat exchanger. It consists of a lid, plastic plugs, pipes, a water flow sensor, and a special drain valve. The next node is called an ion exchanger. It consists of the following spare parts:

  • covers;
  • housings;
  • sealing nut and seals;
  • water transparency sensor;
  • soft water supply valve.

Actually, the ion exchanger in the dishwasher is needed in order to soften hard water and prevent lime deposits from forming on the machine parts. And to make it last longer, you should always make sure that there is salt for the dishwasher in a special container.

The next node is called the water flow distributor. In addition to the distributor itself, this unit includes rubber seals and a special motor that helps create pressure and direct water further into the system. And the last unit of the pallet is called the recirculation unit. It includes: a volute, an aquasensor, clamps and seals, a pump, a cuff, a heating element with a recirculation pump assembly, and an NTS sensor.

Disassembling the tray is considered the most difficult stage in repairing a dishwasher, so if you need to change any part located there, it is better to contact professionals.

External elements

Every user constantly encounters the external elements of a Bosch dishwasher, but even if they don’t, at least they see it. Manufacturers in Germany are focused on mass production of these spare parts, since there is a stable demand for them. Let's list them and briefly describe them.

  1. Inlet and drain hoses. The purpose of these parts is clear to everyone. Users often buy adapters for these hoses in order to be able to extend their length if it is not enough.
  2. Legs. Bosch dishwashers have adjustable legs; they allow you to strictly align the dishwasher body with the surface of the kitchen floor.
  3. Float with microswitch. These are elements of the protection of the body of the Aquastop system. These parts can create many problems for the user. Not only does the microswitch fail quite often, it also tends to stick together with the float. At the same time it appears error E23 for Bosch dishwasher.
  4. Network cable. It is needed to provide power to the machine.
  5. Power board. A network cable is connected to it. It serves to distribute power to the dishwasher modules.
  6. Smooth door opening system. It consists of a spring, a cable and a special lock. This system prevents the door from falling when opening and slamming sharply when closing.
  7. Door hinges and cabinet brackets. Their purpose is clear to everyone.
  8. Decorative hinge covers. These are plastic elements that cover metal door hinges to make the body look aesthetically pleasing.
  9. Soundproofing pillow. These are several sheets of soundproofing material that completely cover the metal washing chamber.

OK it's all over Now. We have briefly listed and described the parts of a typical Bosch dishwasher. Now I would like to say a few words about the features of installation/disassembly of these spare parts.

Recommendations for replacing parts

Quite often, some users, having discovered that the dishwasher door lock does not want to work, try to change it. Good dishwasher lock repair This is a simple matter, but it still requires time and money. Some may be surprised, but in about 30% of cases the lock can be repaired in just five seconds. The fact is that modern Boshek locks have a special sensitive locking tongue. As soon as you slam the door hard once, this tongue falls in and prevents you from closing the door again. How to solve this problem?

You just need to take a screwdriver, feel for this tab and lightly press on it. After pressing, the tongue will pop out and the lock will begin to work properly until the next time the latch retracts.

power boardOther novice craftsmen, in order to repair dishwasher constantly draining water, they decide to check and change the inlet valve, disassembling the dishwasher almost completely to do this. There is a lot of wasted effort when the problem can be solved much easier. By removing the sound insulation and placing the dishwasher on its right side, you can reach the inlet valve through the gap. You can also disconnect it through the slot, check it and change it. This is a little inconvenient to do, but you can save a lot of time without disassembling the entire device.

Sometimes users find that Bosch dishwasher won't turn on. Naturally, her hands immediately begin to itch, because she needs to find out what exactly is broken. Check the power cord, socket, disassemble the control panel and pull out the on/off button. In fact, most often the power boards “burn” on Bosch dishwashers. It is not clear why they are so “delicate”, but the fact remains that an experienced master begins testing with this particular board.

Most likely, the power boards on Bosch dishwashers are designed for stable European power grids, which are very different from the power grids in the Russian outback.

The power board is hidden in the housing, and this housing is hidden in the depths of the dishwasher tray. You will have to remove this tray, remove the board, check it with a multimeter and replace it if a malfunction is detected. We do not recommend soldering the board yourself, because using a homemade power board is dangerous to life and health.

Perhaps today there is enough talk about spare parts, as well as recommendations for checking and replacing them.Of course, it is impossible to cover all the issues within the framework of one article, because we are somehow concerned with dishwasher repair in general, and this is a topic for a whole series of publications that have either already appeared or will appear on our website in the near future. Follow the release of articles. Good luck!
