Noticing that the washing machine does not spin the drum, it is urgent to take measures and eliminate the breakdown. Symptoms of a breakdown, possible causes

The drum can stop at any stage of washing: both at the start of the cycle, so in its middle or in the spin cycle. There is a deceleration sharply or gradually - it all depends on the specific model, the failure that occurred and the acceleration typed by the motor. • water is flooded, but there is no unwinding;
• indicators on the dashboard are on, but there is no water intake;
• the machine is ready to start the cycle, the motor is buzzing, and the drum is static.

• press the buttons, trying to provoke the rotation of the drum.

Check drive belt

We remove the stuck item

When everything is in order with the drive belt, it is necessary to check the drum itself. It is possible that a foreign object in the form of a detached button or key got into the space between it and the tank. Continuing to operate the machine with an "uninvited guest" is extremely dangerous - a hard thing will cause jamming or damage the drum wall. In any case, repairs will be expensive, especially if you have to change the internal capacity of the washer.

To understand that something has got into the tank, you can use a simple test. Open the hatch door and scroll the drum with your palm in both directions. Encountered resistance, ringing or rattle will clearly indicate the presence of an extraneous obstacle.

There is only one way out - to get a foreign body as soon as possible. However, extracting it is quite difficult. You will have to act through the drain filter or the hole under the heater. In the first case, the order is as follows:

Only soft or small objects get into the drain filter, hoses and nozzles: pins, buttons, coins, nuts, socks.

1. We find a drain hatch in the lower right corner of the housing.
2. Pry the cover with a flat screwdriver.
3. We cover the floor with rags.
4. We unscrew the trash filter.
5. We clean the case, rinse the hoses and nozzles.

Larger items remain at the bottom of the tank. The quickest way to get to them is to remove the back cover, disconnect the heater and remove the heater from the seat. Then we shine through the lantern, find the thing and use long pliers, fingers or a hook to pull it out of the wire. The main thing is to act extremely carefully so as not to damage the tank walls.

When the situation is started, and jamming of the drum has already occurred, you will have to completely disassemble the tank. In this case, the procedure is similar to replacing the bearing assembly: remove the top and back cover, drive, motor, dispensary, module, balances, shock absorbers and all other machine parts. After all the manipulations, we get the main container, half and remove the extraneous example. Even harder if the tank is not separable. Then you need a four-hour cut, which is best entrusted to a service worker.

Problem bearings

The drum does not rotate due to the bearings mentioned above. More precisely, due to their wear, knocking out or leaching of all factory grease. This result is caused by overloading the tank with linen, improper operation and leaking seals. In any case, the entire bearing assembly will have to be replaced. The replacement technology is quite complicated:

1. We disassemble the entire machine.
2. We get the tank.
3. We knock out the drum.
4. We take out the old bearings.

6. We change the knot and seals.

Motor malfunction

Often, a static drum indicates a lack of engine power for full unwinding. Erased carbon brushes are to blame for this. Returning the engine to its previous performance is quite simple:

1. We provide access to the engine by removing the back cover from the machine and removing the drive belt.
2. We release the wiring brought to the motor.
3. We find brushes on both sides of the case. They are located in the cases, have a supply wiring and a spring that presses the part against the rotating lamellas.
4. We pry off the power terminal with a flat screwdriver and pull off the wiring.
5. We shift the contact in the opposite direction.
6. Click on the latch, after which the spring opens and pushes the brush.

Attention! Remember in which direction the brush was installed, if the installation is incorrect, the engine will sparkle.

7. We measure the length of the carbon tip, which should be at least 0.7-1 cm.
8. We take new electric brushes and place them in the engine traverses.
9. Compress the attached spring and insert it to the brush.
10. We fix the terminals.
11. We connect the power wire.

It is better to fix the location of the spare part and the wires connected to the camera. You cannot change only one brush - they are dismantled only by a pair. Therefore, we take the second part and repeat the procedure in the same way. In the end, we check the reliability of fixation and test the updated motor.

The heating element is out of order

In Zanussi washers, a faulty heating element also leads to the braking of the drum. So, the temperature sensor does not inform the control system about the produced water heating, and the module does not give a command to the motor about acceleration. Therefore, the engine rotates in test mode with a maximum speed of up to 30 revolutions per minute. In this case, do-it-yourself repair involves checking the heater with a multimeter for operability and, in case of breakdown, replacing it with a new heater. Let's start with testing:

1. Unscrew the back cover.
2. We find a heater under the tank.
3. Configure the multimeter to measure resistance.
4. Disconnect all suitable conductors from the heater.
5. We bring the probe probes to the contacts and evaluate the results.

If the numbers are displayed on the scoreboard within 20-30 ohms, then everything is in order. If you deviate from the norm, you will have to change the heater. Weaken the holding bolt, push its core inward and remove the device. We carry out installation, assemble the machine and start the test cycle.

Maybe it's in the electronics?

Another reason for the non-rotating drum is flying electronics. However, it’s quite difficult to understand exactly what the problem is in the control board and whether repairs are needed. Moreover, often the appearance of a module failure is created, but in fact the reason in the previously considered elements of the washer has not been eliminated. Therefore, immediately blame, repair or change the electronic "stuffing" is not worth it: you can throw money away and not get the result.
