replacing the heating element in an Indesit machineA breakdown of the heating element in any washing machine, including the Indesit brand, is detected immediately. After the first wash with a broken heating element, you will see that the laundry is dirty because it was washed in cold water.

In modern machines, the washing process may not start at all if a part is broken. What to do in case of such a malfunction? It’s simple - replace the heating element with a new one yourself, according to the instructions.

Where is the heating element located?

Replacing heating elements in Indesit brand washing machines is quite simple if you know how to hold a screwdriver and use a multimeter. Different cars have different ways to get to heating element, dismantling the equipment. Italian manufacturers took care of their consumers and installed the heating element in such a way that it can be reached by opening the back cover of the machine.

That is why such repairs are considered simple. The only drawback is that the washing machine is disconnected from all communications. This is necessary in order to turn the machine around at the back for repair work.

What is needed for replacement

Replacing the heating element on an Indesit washing machine will require a minimum of tools from you; as a rule, two screwdrivers are enough: flat and curly and a wrench with a head. You also need a multimeter or tester to check the functionality of the heating element. And, of course, original spare parts.

Important! Do not buy spare parts made in China, you will not save money on this, you will only spend extra money, and soon you will have to replace the heating element again.

An original Italian-made heating element, depending on the model of the washing machine, costs from $7 to $10, maybe a little more. It’s better to save on the work of a technician and try to remove and replace the heating element yourself. Of course, if the car is under warranty, then call a service center specialist, such repairs will be free.
