How to turn on the sound signal on an LG washing machine?

How to turn on the beep sound on an LG washing machineAlmost all washing machines are equipped with the function of turning on/off the basic sound signal independently, including LG machines. However, the situation is complicated by the fact that not all models are equipped with the corresponding button; for some SMs you need to know the combination of several other keys. In general, in reality it seems that it is difficult to turn off or turn on the sound on an LG washing machine, but in fact it is not so.

Old models

Everything about old LG machines is good: they are durable, reliable and easy to use. However, many are probably sure that on such models music is set by default and it is impossible to control it. This is a misconception; you just need to know what actions to take in order to turn the sound signal on or off without any problems.

  • First, start the washer.
  • Select any of the offered washing programs.
  • Press the “Stop\Start” button, and then immediately simultaneously hold down the “Temperature” and “Rinse” keys and hold them this way for at least 3 seconds.
  • Now just stop the machine and then start it again. The sound should then turn on or off depending on what happened before.

LGF12A8HD is one of the models where this key combination works smoothly. However, any SM from LG around the same time of release will disconnect and connect the sound signal precisely through this combination. As for more modern technology, the approach is somewhat different.

Turn off with one button

For all models in the list below, the sound is muted or unmuted by pressing and holding one single key.An additional advantage is that this can be done both while the CM is running (even during the running washing mode) and when it is turned off.press 1 button

  1. F(E/M)1096SD(No. 1 to 9); F(E/M)1296SD(No. 1-9).
  2. F(E/M)1096ND(No. 1-9); F(E/M)1296ND(No. 1-9); M1222ND(No. 1-9).
  3. F1096(1296)WD(No.1-9); F(E/M)10B8SD(No. 1-9).
  4. F(E/M)80(10\12)B8MD(No. 1-9).
  5. F(E/M)80(10\12)B8ND(No. 1-9).
  6. F(E/M)10B9SD(No. 1-9); F(E/M)12B9SD(No. 1-9).
  7. F(E/M)80B9LD(No. 1-9); F(E/M)10B9LD(No. 1-9); F(E/M)12B9LD(No. 1-9).

And the “magic button” for regulating the sound of all these machines is the same – “Timer Mode”. Pinch it and hold for 3-4 seconds. Ready!

Cars of the updated series

For more modern LG units, this method is useless. Here the program contains another combination for connecting or disabling the sound signal. You must hold down the “Timer” and “No folds” keys in parallel and hold them for exactly 3 seconds, otherwise the combination will not work. The method is valid on the following SMs:press 2 buttons

  • F(E/M)1096SD(No.1-9); F(E/M)1296SD(No. 1-9).
  • F(E/M)80B8ND(No. 1-9); F(E/M)10B8ND(No. 1-9); F(E/M)12B8ND(No. 1-9).
  • F(E/M)1096ND(No. 1-9); F(E/M)1296ND(No.1-9; M1222ND(No.1-9).
  • F(E/M)10B9SD(No. 1-9); F(E/M)12B9SD(No. 1-9).
  • F1096WD(No.1-9); F1296WD(No. 1-9); F(E/M)10B8SD(No. 1-9).
  • F(E/M)80B9LD(No. 1-9); F(E/M)10B9LD(No. 1-9); F(E/M)12B9LD(No. 1-9).
  • F(E/M)80B8MD(No. 1-9); F(E/M)10B8MD(No. 1-9); F(E/M)12B8MD(No. 1-9).

Important! You can find out which model you use either from the instructions for the washing machine (if you have one) or from the marks on the body of the machine.

The main thing in this matter is not to be lazy and figure out what type your “home assistant” is. And then it’s a matter of technology. The most fragile woman can press a couple of keys for 3 seconds; this does not require strength or special skills.
