Sprayers do not spin in the dishwasher

Sprayers do not spin in the dishwasherThere is an erroneous opinion among users that dishwasher sprinklers are launched into operation by motors that unwind the elements, provoking the processing of the dishes with water. In fact, the rotation is due to the pressure of the water created by the circulation pump. The pressure in the system acts on the impellers, as a result of which they begin to move. Accordingly, when the pressure is weakened, the sprinklers do not rotate in the dishwasher. What actions to take to troubleshoot, we will consider further.

Well prepared first

Not always the cause of stopping the impellers is a breakdown that has occurred in the system. Often a common blockage can contribute to this. But in any case, you will have to "get into" the dishwasher body, for which you may need the following appliances and tools:

  • Phillips and slotted screwdrivers;
  • pliers (useful for loosening clamps);
  • multimeter (for carrying out a diagnostic check of parts).prepare the tool

After that, you need to do the preparation of the PMM directly. The algorithm of actions is as follows:

  • disconnect the equipment;
  • disconnect the device from house networks;
  • close the shut-off valve;
  • disconnect the inlet hose, drain the remaining water from it into a previously prepared container;
  • unfasten the drain hose, at the same time inspect its cavity for clogging;
  • attach the hose to the rear wall with special mounts.

So that nothing distracts you from the workflow, pre-allocate a place to repair the machine. It is best to place the equipment in the center of the room, to provide free access to the unit.

Check for blockages

Often the sprinklers in the dishwasher do not spin just because of blockages in the waste fluid drain system. The first step is to clean the drain, inspect the impeller of the pump.

Before starting work, make sure that there is no liquid left in the dishwasher tank, if any, remove water using the drain hose.

To access the impeller, you must:

  • remove all baskets and containers for dishes from the washing chamber;
  • unscrew the drain filter located at the bottom of the dishwasher;the dishwasher filter needs to be cleaned
  • under it, you can find a protective net, which also needs to be removed and washed well;
  • remove all the water that has accumulated in the hole with a sponge;
  • remove the protective cover by pulling it to its side.

Disassembly and cleaning of the drainage system should be carried out with protective gloves, since blockages are often formed from fragments of broken dishes.

After completing all the steps, access to the impeller of the pump will be obtained. In the opening hole, you need to insert your hand and remove all accumulated debris. After blocking, the impeller starts to rotate again.

Repair of the circulation pump and pump

If usually cleaning the drainage system solved the problem, and this time such measures were unsuccessful, you should examine the pump with which the pressure is created and the pump. The first thing you need to get to the pump.

  1. Carefully disconnect the spray gun.
  2. Using a screwdriver, unscrew the bolts located on the bottom.
  3. Cover the floor with an old towel or blanket.
  4. Put the machine on its side.
  5. Remove the bottom of the dishwasher.
  6. When attaching the float to the pan, disconnect the sensor wiring;
  7. Pull out the wiring contacts of the electric motor.

On the side you can find a drainage pump. Remove it from the seat, clean the attachment area from debris. After that, diagnose the pump using a tester. If the multimeter confirms the failure of the part, you will have to install a new one. After that, connect all the chips and wires in the reverse order. So the replacement will be completed.pull out and check the circulation pump

Another reason that the sprinklers do not spin may be a breakdown of the circulation pump.Repair work in this case will also not be of high complexity. If the motor is buzzing, the dishwasher does not turn off, and the impellers do not rotate, it is precisely the engine. If necessary, the procedure for diagnosing and replacing an element with a working one includes the following steps:

  • loosen the pipe clamps;
  • disconnect the connectors supplying the part;
  • use a screwdriver to release the latches;
  • carefully unscrew the fixing screw;
  • unclench fastenings of other branch pipes, remove them aside;
  • remove the engine from the case and test it with a multimeter;
  • if a malfunction is detected, install a new motor.

When installing a serviceable engine, carefully monitor the exact fit of all the bushings in place.

To minimize system breakdowns, clean hoses and other items from debris on time. Work on restoring the movement of the sprinklers is classified as medium complexity, therefore, they may well be performed independently.
