Then you should connect the device to the mains. Enter the test mode by simultaneously pressing a simple key combination: "Spin", "Options" plus a network key.

Holding the buttons, you will hear a characteristic sound and you will observe how the indicators on the working panel light up. After you release the buttons, the washer will go into standby mode for testing. Close the manhole cover tightly, now we can assume that the device is finally prepared for self-diagnosis.

Linear Testing

The service test of the Samsung machine is conventionally divided into two stages, and the first of them is the verification of the linear components of the machine. It allows you to visually verify the sufficient performance of linear components, such as:

• filling valve (filling the drum with water to the desired level);
• TEN (responsible for water heating);
• drain hose (for lack of blockages and other);
• Eco Bubble pump (module generating air bubbles).

The button that selects the temperature of the water enables the valve check mode. By clicking on it, you can observe how the tank begins to fill with water through the first section of the detergent dispenser. When the “Temperature” key is pressed again, water will be supplied through the second section of the tray. This will check both filler compartments. A third press will turn off the fluid in the drum.

One press on the Spin key allows you to test the serviceability of the drain hose. The second is to turn on the Eco Bubble pump. A third press will turn off the pump. If you are sure that there are no problems with draining the water from the drum, proceed directly to the Eco Bubble pump, for this you should quickly, twice in a row, press the button responsible for spinning. Now look through the hatch door. In the water with which the drum is filled, bubbles should begin to appear, this indicates that the bubble wash function is functioning properly.

The “Options” button will help you to check how the heater works. By pressing the key, you turn on the heating element for a few seconds. If no changes occur on the control panel of the machine, then the heater is in good condition. If there are any problems with the heater, the device will give an error on the heating element.

Checking sensors and motor

The performance test of various sensors and the SMA motor is performed by rotating the knob of the washing program. By setting the selector to a specific mode, you can diagnose a separate part of the device. Let’s tell you where you should direct the handle to test the motor, temperature sensor, level sensor, main power board.

1. Setting the selector to the "Spin" mode will display on the digital display of the machine the current frequency of the signal of the water level sensor in the tank. For example, flashing 24.16 symbols on the screen will indicate that the frequency signal of the sensor is 24.16 kHz.You can check how this value changes on the drain, the frequency should increase by about 2 kHz.
2. The direction of the handle to the position "Rinse + Spin" will show the current temperature of the water in the drum. This checks the health of the temperature sensor.
3. Setting the program "Quick wash" will display on the screen the status of the main power board SMA. If the OT signal, or Okey Test, means the test passed well, the appearance of the NT (Not Test) icon indicates a malfunction of the board.
4. Moving the selector to the “Hand wash” position allows you to check the speed of the motor. Selecting this position and pressing the "Start / Pause" button, you will see that the drum starts to spin, this confirms the performance of the motor. In the event of a defect in the element, information on a malfunction of the motor rotation will be displayed.
5. Direction of the mode switch to the Synthetics program allows you to visually check the drum rotation speed from zero revolutions to the maximum possible. Set the knob and press the “Start / Pause” button, speed information will be displayed on the option LEDs. After the test is completed, you should disable the rotation of the drum with the "Start / Pause" button.
