Everyone knows that LG is a large company from South Korea, which is engaged in the production of various home appliances, including the manufacture of washing machines. Drawing an analogy, many mistakenly believe that since the company is from South Korea, then LG washing machines should also be produced in Korea, but this is not at all the case. If we pay attention to the model range of these washers sold in Russia, then we will understand that only a tenth of them were produced in Korea, the rest is collected in third countries.

Where is your machine from?

A logical and reasonable question arises: where does the washer that I recently bought from Russian store, if not from South Korea? Well, firstly, there is no need to panic, the manufacturer must indicate the country of origin of a particular washing machine in the operating instructions attached to it, and there is an inscription on the case. And secondly, if the machine is assembled on the territory of third countries, then it will not necessarily be bad, because the production of components and assembly is carried out according to a single technology.

Nevertheless, I would like to know where the LG Group has production of washing machines and where is this equipment brought to us from Russia? Let's see in which countries the LG Group launched the production of LG washing machines.

1. Russia. In 2006, a large LG Group enterprise was launched in the Moscow Region, producing refrigerators, televisions, and more than 100 models of washing machines. After 10 years, the company has produced more than 7,500,000 LG washing machines, becoming one of the largest factories of the LG Group producing such equipment.
   
2. South Korea. LG Home Appliances is a division of LG Electronics Inc., which in turn is part of the LG Group conglomerate. Production facilities are located in Seoul. They assemble high-tech washing machines of the latest generation and accessories for them.
3. PRC. One of the company's largest mass production is located in China. Enterprises assembling brand washing machines LG are located in a suburb of Hong Kong. There are also component factories in Shenzhen and Huizhou cities. Important! The vast majority of LG brand washing machines, which are sold in Russia, are made in the Moscow region, which is approximately 74%. The remaining 26% falls on expensive models of this brand, which are imported from China and South Korea.

A few words about the company

LG Group began its history with a small enterprise, opened by an enterprising Korean in the capital of South Korea, Seoul in 1947. The factory specialized in the production of hand and face creams, as well as in the production of a small line of home chemicals. Until the mid-50s, Lac High Industries was looking for itself, trying to produce either plastics or toothpaste. In 1956, with the financial support of the head of state, a small company called Goldstar stood out from Lac Hai, it began to produce household appliances and electronics.

Goldstar is developing rapidly, and by 1959 it releases and begins to actively manufacture a transistor radio receiver.In 1962, Goldstar entered the international market with a whole line of home electronics: receivers, electric fans, telephones. In 1969, the company launched its first washing machine, which was actively sold mainly in the domestic market. In 1976, one of the largest factories for the production of home appliances was opened in Changwon, where washing machines were also produced.

By 1995, Goldstar is already a large group consisting of dozens of companies producing a wide variety of products: from household and industrial chemicals to household appliances, electronics and components for them. In the same year, it was decided to create a group of corporations formally combining Goldstar and Lucky in the LG Group.

Today, the LG Group is the world's largest manufacturer of not only electronics and chemicals, but also household appliances. Every year, enterprises of the industrial group produce hundreds of thousands of washing machines almost all over the world.
