How to wash a park in a washing machine

How to wash a park in a washing machineIt is much faster and more convenient to wash a winter park in a washing machine. But is the lining, filler and fur edge spoiled after being in the drum of the machine? The answer will be negative, but under one condition - to load outerwear and start the cycle must be strictly according to the instructions. What rules and recommendations are in question, we will describe in detail below.

Preparing a jacket for washing

To determine exactly whether automatic washing can be used for the park is simple: just look at the shortcut on it. It is on all clothes and is located on the wrong side of the jacket at the junction of the seams below. All washing recommendations are listed here. If there is no image of a basin with strikethrough, then the use of a washer is allowed.

But do not rush to start the cycle. Before turning on the machine, the park must be prepared for loading into the drum.

  1. Check all pockets and remove small things, paper, coin, etc. from them.before washing the park look at the label
  2. Disconnect all additional elements (hood, decorative elements, fur trim, lining, pockets).
  3. Fasten the main and additional zippers, as well as buttons, buttons and other fasteners.
  4. Turn inside out so that all metal inserts and other decor do not come off and spoil the drum cover.
  5. Roll the park into a roll, slightly pressing down, and place in a special bag for washing. If there is none, use a pillowcase.
  6. Load everything into the drum.

Attention! Make sure that you do not exceed the maximum allowed load of the existing model of the washer.

Now stop. To start the wash, you will have to choose the mode set by the system that is suitable for a particular park or configure it yourself. To do this, you need to pay attention to the main fabric, type of filler, fur inserts and other features. All details and recommendations for each case are given below.

We erase according to the instructions

The instructions for washing spring and winter parks are based on a single principle - the most gentle conditions and non-aggressive cleaning products. For most, a delicate mode with a minimum spin and a temperature range of up to 40 ° is suitable. The last point is very important, because too hot water spoils the synthetic and cotton fabric, making it unattractive and non-durable. Machine drying is also useful if it is provided in the washer.

Important! If the label has an image with a basin and a thick dot in the middle, then washing is allowed only in cold water up to 30 degrees.

This is a general instruction, from which there are some exceptions:

  • only special powders are used, since ordinary ones leave strong stains;
  • cotton products of white and light colors are washed only with non-aggressive bleaches;
  • with the presence of colored fabrics, gels and powders that prevent shedding are necessary;
  • if the filler is synthetic winterizer, then a program for synthetics and a gel or powder corresponding to the material are needed. Spinning and drying are prohibited, and after washing the jacket is wrung out manually.

With down filler, the situation is more complicated. Firstly, you should use special or tennis balls, which, moving around the drum, do not allow fluff to roll. Secondly, we choose a delicate wash with 30 degrees, and after the end of the cycle we take it out and squeeze it out with our hands. Thirdly, we repeat the entry, pouring gel for down jackets into the tray and turning off the spin.

For those who prefer to wash by hand

If there is the slightest doubt that the park will not survive machine wash, do not risk it. It is better to wash the jacket manually. But here it is important to observe a special technology and act in strict sequence.use only soft bristles for cleaning

  1. Pour warm water (not higher than 40 degrees) into a suitable basin or bath and dissolve in it a powder or gel suitable for outerwear.
  2. Shake the water until foamy.
  3. Immerse the item in the solution without pulling it.
  4. Grind especially contaminated places, which are the collar, the inside of the sleeves, the cuff, the top of the pockets, as well as the area around the zipper.

Important! Do not use hard bristles or other hard objects for cleaning.

  1. Rinse with warm water in the bath, and then rinse under a cold shower.
  2. Straighten the jacket and leave it at the bottom of the bath until water drains.
  3. Wrap in a large terry towel until all remaining liquid is completely absorbed.

If there are stubborn spots, you will have to perform a couple more actions. So, to remove greasy marks, apply a solution of two tablespoons of ammonia and half a liter of water with a napkin to the contaminated area. Gently three no longer than 3 minutes. After wipe with clean water with a sponge. Acetic solution, diluted in similar proportions, has a similar effect. Another tool is a dishwashing gel applied to a cotton pad.

What to do with fur elements?

The controversial point will be the fur elements in the park, since not every fur can withstand machine wash. It’s still necessary to clean the edge, so we’ll consider all the options available. Before choosing the appropriate method, we will find out which, natural or artificial fluff is provided on the jacket.Before washing, check pockets and unfasten the hem

If the fur is natural, then any washing, both machine and hand, is prohibited. When completely wet, it loses its protective qualities, volume and color. Therefore, we immediately unfasten it from the hood and pockets. When this is impossible, we act differently: tightly wrap in cellophane and securely fix. Getting a few drops is not scary, the main thing is to avoid strong soaking. Clean the unfastened edge as follows:

  • it is necessary to take starch and water of low temperature;
  • mix the two ingredients to a mushy state;
  • apply the mixture evenly to the pile;
  • let dry completely;
  • remove with a soft brush.

Important! The fur must not be dried with a hairdryer, on the battery and under direct sunny occasions, or ironed and cleaned with aggressive household chemicals.

Faux fur is cleaned similarly, but it, unlike its natural counterpart, is able to withstand automatic washing. The main thing is to thoroughly comb the edge after returning to its original splendor. It is recommended to use a spray bottle, a wooden brush and a steamer. To restore the shine to the fur, you can sprinkle it with lemon juice or walnut oil.

Need to dry properly

It is important not only to correctly set the degrees and spin on the washing machine, but also to properly dry the washed park. The appearance of the fabric, size and color will depend on this. In order not to spoil the jacket, it is recommended to remember the following recommendations.

  1. Dry only in the "lying" position, without hanging the jacket in the usual way. The best solution would be a floor dryer, where you can decompose the park and let the liquid remaining inside gradually drain.
  2. The drying room must be well ventilated or equipped with functioning ventilation. Loggias, balconies and streets are allowed.

Important! Avoid getting direct UV rays in the park.

  1. Make sure that there are no heaters or batteries near the wet jacket.
  2. Regularly crush the product and pull the filler, otherwise it will crumple and fall down.
  3. Turn the park over about every 2-3 hours to dry evenly.

It is easy to check if the washed jacket is dry: just squeeze it in your hand and evaluate the surface. The appeared wet spot clearly indicates insufficient drying. As soon as the stain has ceased to be revealed - feel free to turn on the iron at the minimum mark and iron it from the inside. If the outside has also become very wrinkled, walk along the warm sole and on it, remembering to put a white cotton cloth.

It’s much safer to manually wash the park, but using the automatic machine correctly, you can speed up the process several times without unnecessary risks. The main thing is to pay attention to the tab on the jacket and monitor the spin and temperature of the water.
