How to wash a sweater in a washing machine

Woolen things have a number of outstanding advantages due to the naturalness of the fibers, but there are also disadvantages: the wool is very whimsical and unstable to temperature extremes and moisture. Many housewives are frankly afraid to wash a sweater in a typewriter if it is made of wool. In vain or are these concerns justified?

We erase automatically correctly

To be honest, things are not made of pure wool now, at least in the factory. To increase the "wear resistance" of products, resort to the addition of synthetic fibers. Thanks to this technique, washing in a washing machine the automatic machine of such a sweater is quite real, but very carefully, following the rules.

1. If the “Wool” program is available in the machine, select only it and do not use any other additional settings.
2. In the absence of a special mode, select the one that will cope with washing as quickly as possible (15-30 minutes).
3. Disable rinsing, soaking and other functions that will prolong the contact of the product with water.
4. The washing temperature should not exceed 30 degrees. Some models have a minimum temperature of 40, but this is the maximum allowable limit.
5. As for the powder, fall asleep half of the usual rate, as it is extremely difficult to wash out from the "tenacious" wool fibers. Moreover, you have to refuse to rinse.

Important! Can I use air conditioning? Woolen sweater will not mind. However, opt for special conditioners for wool, to be sure that nothing is threatened.

In no case should you squeeze a thing, just as you can twist, shake, etc. No matter how wet it is, remove it and hang it to drain in its natural position, for example, in a sink or bathtub. As soon as the sweater drains, hang it away from any sources of heat and light and sunlight.

Caring for your acrylic sweater

If your item is equipped with decorative acrylic inserts, its washing parameters become even tougher. In general, washing such a sweater is not automatically recommended, it is better to do it manually using detergent for wool. If you still want to wash it in the machine, use the most delicate mode.

The drying requirements are the same: neither iron, nor wring, nor place next to heating appliances and light sources. The only thing that can be done to speed up the process is to put the thing on a terry towel so that it absorbs excess moisture.
