It’s not worth experimenting with delicate and delicate materials. Lightweight fabrics with embroidery, sequins, printed patterns or photo printing may fade or become completely ruined due to high temperatures or improperly selected powder. Therefore, before washing the organza in the washing machine, you need to figure out how to do it right. There is one instruction, and we will present it below.

Getting ready for the process

First of all, you need to prepare: pick up a safe tool and properly load the curtain into the drum. To begin with, we determine with a powder, immediately rejecting all universal options - you need to choose a soft composition with low foaming. Ideally, you should pay attention to liquid gels designed for delicate things without chemical bleaches, chlorine and conditioning agents. Otherwise, the lightweight fabric will immediately turn yellow and lose its attractive appearance.

For washing organza, a delicate and gel-like detergent is needed.

Next, we turn to the curtains themselves. First, carefully remove the fabric from the curtains. After shaking out on the street or balcony to dump all the dust accumulated on the material. You should not hurry with loading into the machine - it is better to pre-soak the organza for 20-30 minutes in clean cold water, adding a small amount of powder to it.

Description of automatic washing

Do not forget that the washing machine, if used improperly, can aggressively affect the fabric. Especially if delicate fabrics like organza are washed out. To avoid trouble, you must adhere to a number of recommendations.

• Protect delicate material with a special laundry bag. It can be bought at hardware stores, made from a piece of gauze with your own hands, or use the alternative in the form of a regular pillowcase.
• Strictly observe the dose of powder. It is impossible to pour over the norm, otherwise the foaming will increase.
• Set the mode to “Delicate” or “Hand wash”. If there are similar programs in the washer, feel free to press the buttons - everything is already set by the system according to the type of fabric. In the absence of special modes, you must set the values ​​yourself: temperature up to 30 degrees and minimum spin.
• Enable extra rinse. To avoid stains and poor flushing of the powder from the fabric structure.
• Pull out the curtains carefully.
• Do not wring it by hand, but let the curtains drain. It should be wet to hang on the horizontal bar in the bathroom or directly on the ledge.

If you follow the instructions, then the need for further ironing will disappear. The main thing is to provide a free flow of air in the room by opening a window to the street. Remember that the tulle is thin and dries in a matter of hours.

Traditional Organza Care

Despite its simplicity, washing in an automatic machine remains quite risky. It is much safer to use the traditional method and refresh the organza tulle with a hand wash. But be prepared for the fact that to achieve the perfect result, you will have to spend a lot of time and effort. As a rule, organza is washed off with hands in three conditional stages.

1. Soak. We already mentioned about it, since it will not hurt to leave the tulle in the water for a short time before automatic washing. But the duration of the procedure and the nature of the prepared solution depend on the degree of tissue contamination. So, more often enough of the standard "set" - salt and powder. We fill the bathtub with water at 30-35 degrees, pour a few glasses of salt and a little delicate powder, after which we leave to "stand" for 3-4 hours. During this time, salt particles will eliminate the yellowness of the material and give it shine and gloss. If you need to clean kitchen curtains soaked with grease, dirt and soot, you will have to strengthen the composition with a dishwashing detergent or baking soda.
2. Washing.Organza curtains are erased with minimal force. Moreover, it is enough to simply knead the product with your hands, providing free penetration of the cleaning substance powder into the structure of the fabric. It is not necessary to transfer the tulle to other water, you can only supplement the solution with vinegar to enhance the gloss of the material.

3. Rinsing. In gentle mode, rinsing also takes place. It is enough to drain the old water, fill in a full cold bath and gently rinse the tulle, repeating these steps until the water is completely clear. In the last “call” it is recommended to add a small amount of blue, which will help the tissue regain its original freshness.

It is allowed to refresh organza in an automatic machine, but hand washing will be the best solution. By controlling the force of the head and the temperature of the water, you can protect the material from destruction and spoilage as much as possible, due to which the curtains will last much longer. But for the absence of risks, you will have to pay with your own strength and time.

Spot Removal Tips

Due to the fact that light organza curtains are often hung in the kitchen, sometimes you have to deal with severe pollution. Persistent stains from grease or soot cannot be removed with a single powder - high-quality whitening is necessary. But using a standard stain remover is strictly prohibited, as the delicate structure of the fabric is easily damaged and destroyed.

However, this does not mean that the polluted tulle will have to be thrown out. Experienced housewives have come up with a delicate composition of folk remedies for delicate fabrics that can carefully and effectively remove even stained spots. It is enough to mix four tablespoons of acetic acid, a few drops of ammonia and a spoonful of salt.

The composition is applied before soaking strictly on contaminated areas. The spots are moistened with a soapy solution, treated with a “stain remover” and left for 5-7 minutes. The recommended time cannot be exceeded, since even a 10-minute delay can cause deformation of the tissue structure.

Whitening nuances

If dust and dirt did not affect individual sections of the fabric, but the entire tulle became yellow or gray, bleaching is necessary. It is logical that, by analogy with the stain remover, using universal bleach is too risky. It is better to turn to folk remedies again. Safe and effective in the fight against dullness and yellowness are four “bleaches”:

• salt;
• soda;
• peroxide;
• zelenka.

Some housewives recommend bleaching the gray organza with 24-hour soaking in low-fat kefir or natural yogurt.

But to achieve a perfect result, you must follow a few rules. First, set the washing temperature to 30-40 degrees and gently rinse the tulle in soapy water. Secondly, in a separate container, dilute water with soda, salt, peroxide or 10-20 drops of brilliant green. Thirdly, to give the fabric a good saturation with bleach, controlling the time of soaking produced effect. Remember that, having overexposed the curtain, you can overdo it spoil its appearance. Fourth, rinse the item thoroughly under a stream of cool water.

Organza can be washed both with your hands and in an automatic machine. The main thing, in any case, follow the above rules and tips.
