If the covers are made of leather or leatherette
First of all, you need to take into account that everything depends on the material. There is a huge abundance of fabrics from which car interior covers are made. Some of them are easy to wash in a machine, but some, alas, are not.
The last category includes covers made of leather or leatherette. If the inside of your machine is decorated with just such material, you will have to abandon automatic washing. But no problem! This does not mean that the salon cannot be put in order. There are special aerosols and creams for leather cases. After them, the product will look cleaner and newer.
Important! Eco-leather, however, does not exclude washing car covers in a washing machine. However, you will have to choose the most delicate mode and abandon chlorine-based detergents.
What to choose: cream or aerosol? If interior cleaning is routine and you just need to improve the appearance of the covers, take an aerosol. As a rule, the aerosol is applied evenly to the entire surface of the material, absorbed, and then its excess is removed with a dry cloth.

Fur or wool covers
Fur and wool products are divided into synthetic and natural. Covers from the first category are not machine washable. Various dry mixtures are sold for cleaning. If desired, you can use improvised means: semolina or starch. Apply a certain amount of detergent or cleaner to the material and comb the product against the lint, and then lightly massage.
Natural wool or fur fabrics can be machine washed. You just need to select the appropriate mode or simply install the most delicate program that is available.
Covers made from less demanding fabrics
The most unpretentious covers for washing also require certain precautions. For example, do not rush to load a product with foam inserts into the drum. After washing, they will simply crumble and, perhaps, the quality of the cover will immediately deteriorate sharply.
Remember that some fabrics, such as tapestry, tend to shrink during washing. To avoid this, first soak the item in warm water using a delicate detergent.
The same applies to any heavily soiled products. Pre-soaking will improve the quality and result of washing.And yes, under no circumstances, no matter what the fabric, do not put the machine on the spin cycle.
