German washing powder

German washing powdersIn search of the best detergent for washing clothes that can be used in an automatic washing machine, many women turn to foreign products, not trusting domestic household chemicals. One of the representatives of such products are German powders. How do they differ from powders from other manufacturers, under what brands are they sold on the market, where can they be bought? We will try to answer these and other questions.

Peculiarities

Powders produced in Germany are praised for a reason. They have a number of features:

  • firstly, the price of such powder is noticeably different; German powders are expensive;
  • secondly, such powders contain more active agents, which is why such powders are called concentrated, and concentrated powders are consumed less;
  • thirdly, such powders are not available in every household chemical store.

You can buy washing powders made in Germany in a large household chemicals hypermarket. If there is no such thing in your city, then you can order the powder online.

Bulk powders

Let's conduct a short review of loose German powders, consider their composition, packaging and find out the price.

TOP HOUSE is an automatic powder with a concentrated composition. According to the manufacturer, a pack of powder weighing 4.5 kg is enough for 76 washes. The powder has small white granules and contains surfactants, zeolites, soap, enzymes, polycarboxylates and optical brightener. Thanks to this composition, it copes well with various stains, for example, from ketchup, coffee, lipstick. Shirt cuffs and collars, cotton towels, bed linen - all this can be washed with this powder. Things are soft, without the pungent smell of chemicals and, most importantly, clean. Packages weighing 1 kg, 1.8 kg, 4, 5 kg are common. A large package will cost approximately $24.

DRECO Super is a universal powder from Germany that does not contain phosphates. It contains tensides, enzymes, zeolites, fragrance, polycarboxylates, and optical brightener. The consumption of powder compared to concentrates is quite high. The cost of a pack weighing 3 kg is 12 dollars. According to the manufacturer, it is enough for 20 washes.

Frosch is an automatic washing powder that contains soap, surfactants and enzymes. This powder is suitable for washing cotton items. However, it is worth noting that the enzymes included in its composition “work” at a temperature of 40 degrees. You cannot wash silk and wool items in powder with enzymes, because they destroy the protein structure of the threads. A 1.35 kg package costs about $6.5. This is not much for a concentrated powder; such a pack, according to the manufacturer, is enough for 18 washes.

Dr. Beckmann – white detergent underwear and lace products. The product removes yellowness and gray tints from linen, giving it its original appearance. Suitable for all types of fabrics. Two packs of 75 gr. cost about 65 dollars.

Burti is a concentrated phosphate-free powder from Germany. Does not have dyes, the color is white. Does not contain aggressive substances, and therefore is suitable for washing children's clothes. This product participated in various tests and showed good results. The powder copes with almost all stains, with the exception of lipstick. But you must admit, it’s not so often that you have to wash lipstick off your clothes. Packages 900 gr. enough for 18 washes. The price of such a pack is about 8 dollars.

Now let's see what German-made liquid powders are available.

Liquid products

Domal is a universal product suitable for all types of fabrics, including delicate ones, such as silk and wool. This product contains surfactants, phosphates (which is not good), enzymes, soap, and preservatives. The manufacturer indicates on the packaging that 1.5 liters is enough for about 20 washes. This product can be used at temperatures no higher than 60 degrees. According to the results of numerous tests, this remedy is one of the most ineffective.

Dromal gel does not cope 100% with almost all types of stains on different types of fabrics. Surprisingly, it removes stains from felt-tip pens, baby food, vegetable oil and blood, and even then not on every fabric. But this product cannot remove coffee, tea, fruit juice, and chocolate. A one and a half liter bottle of gel costs about $8.

Dalli med is a liquid washing powder. All the text on the packaging of this product is in German, so you won’t have to worry about counterfeiting. The product works at different temperatures; the manufacturer states that it can be used at temperatures from 20 to 95 degrees. This German gel is concentrated and hypoallergenic, which means it is suitable for people with allergies. There are no dyes or phosphates in the composition, but there are enzymes, which means washing silk and wool is prohibited.

Unlike the previous product, Dalli washes a little better. It copes with stains of blood, ketchup, felt-tip pen and baby food, but everything will depend on the type of fabric. It also did not cope with tea and coffee stains. The cost of a 1 liter package is also approximately $8.

Burti Baby is a liquid washing powder made in Germany. It is declared as a children's product, but it contains phosphates in a small concentration. Also contains enzymes, optical brightener, fragrances, surfactants and soap. A 1.5 liter bottle is enough for 20 washes. Unlike the products discussed above, Burti has the longest shelf life of 5 years. Washing temperature varies from 30 to 60 degrees. This tool has become a leader in testing conducted by specialists. It removed the most stains overall.

But, nevertheless, this product also did not wash off tea, grass, and coffee. It costs a little less, about $7.

Note! Liquid products, even concentrated ones, cope with severe stains much worse than powders. Therefore, you should not blindly trust advertising. Don't expect a miracle from them.

To summarize, there are quite a lot of washing powders produced in Germany. They are economical, preserve the color of clothes, the softness of linen, and most of them are environmentally friendly. But even among them there is no universal product that could be used to wash everything, removing the most stubborn stains. One way or another, you will have to use special stain removers, resort to soaking and other washing methods.
