Errors 1E, 1C, E7 in the Samsung washing machine

Error 1e in SamsungYour washing machine does not want to work normally and gives an error on the display, which means something happened to it. Error code 1E (aka 1C and E7) notifies you that it could break in the technique. If there is an instruction at hand, then you can find a description of the code in it, and if there is no such instruction, then our article will help to deal with this problem.

What does this code mean?

On the Samsung washing machine, error 1E can occur at any time while the program is running, even at the beginning of the cycle, at least in the middle, especially when it first appears. This error is associated with incorrect operation of the water level sensor, which the masters call a pressure switch. Before this error occurs, the drain pump for pumping water is turned on in the machine.

Code 1E appears on washing machines manufactured after 2007. On earlier models, this problem is encrypted with the E7 code.

If, within a few seconds, the water level sensor supplies the control module with an incorrect frequency that goes beyond 15-30 MHz, then within three minutes the water is drained from the washing machine, and then this error pops up. On some washing machines you can see the code 1C, which is identical to codes 1E and E7. But error E1 means completely different, so do not confuse 1E and E1.

Not only intelligent washing machines notify of a breakdown of this nature. On machines without a display, the following sensors light up:

  • temperature sensor 600WITH;
  • temperature sensor 400WITH;
  • cold water sensor.

All other indicators flash at the same time.

Causes of occurrence

pressure switch tubeError 1E or E7, according to statistics, most often appears when a water level sensor is broken directly, but in some cases, the cause may be:

  • kink of the pressure tube, and possibly the appearance of a hole in the tube going from the pressure switch to the tank;
  • failure of the electronic module, in this case, you can try to turn off the washer from the network for a while, for 10-15 minutes. If you are lucky, the brains will reboot, the machine will work normally;
  • malfunction in the electrician going from the pressostat to the control module, contact oxidation.

Trouble-shooting

In order to accurately establish the cause of this error, it is necessary to open the housing of the washing machine and, as they say, to see the damage with your own eyes. It’s much easier to get to the pressostat of the Samsung washing machine than to the heating element or control module, so we’ll do it “without delay.”

  1. We block the water, disconnect the inlet hose of the washing machine.
  2. Disconnect the drain hose from the sewer.
  3. We are disconnected from the power supply network.
  4. We take out the powder receiver and remove it to the side, you can at the same time rinse it properly.
  5. We take out the washing machine from the niche in which it is installed.
  6. Unscrew the two screws that are located on the back wall in the upper right corner of the case and in the upper left corner of the case, respectively.water level sensor
  7. Being facing the back wall of the washer, we put both palms on the top cover, and then slide this cover back, and then lift it up.
  8. In the upper part of the machine body (closer to the back wall) there is a pressure switch, it is impossible to confuse it with some other part.

Having found the pressure switch, the first thing we do is check the pressure tube for leaks and blockages. If neither one nor the other could be detected, we take a multimeter and begin checking the resistance, contacts of the water level sensor. We will not describe the entire verification process in detail, since we have already done this as part of the publication Checking the pressostat of the washing machine - level switch.

If the pressure switch, nevertheless, turned out to be working, do not give up and continue the test.After the water level sensor, it is necessary to check the electrical communications that feed this part and connect it to the control module. It is necessary to “ring” the whole chip and each transaction separately. If the wiring is OK, we are probably dealing with a serious malfunction of the control module.

pressure switchThe burned-out paths of the control board, triacs and other semiconductor elements could affect the normal interaction with the pressostat. You can try to ring them all on your own and, perhaps, you will be able to find the defective part, but most likely there will be problems with finding the problem and fixing it.

For our part, we always advise delegating malfunctions in the electronics of the washing machine to a specialist who, qualified, without extra costs, will fix the breakdown. The independent elimination of such malfunctions may well lead to a complete genderOhmke control module, and this is a completely different cost.

In conclusion, we note that one of the easiest modules to repair the washing machine - the pressure switch, can throw a number of surprises. So, if you happen to encounter a 1e error in a Samsung washing machine, be extremely careful, but do not rush into the case, first at least restart the “home assistant” a couple of times. Good luck in the repair!
