Stains appear after washing in the washing machine

the machine the automatic soiled linenThere are spots on the laundry after washing in the washing machine! It sounds somehow implausible, because the washing machine should wash things, not contaminate them. Nevertheless, such a situation is not uncommon, and in most cases this happens with the owners of the rather old "home helpers" who have served for 5, 10, or even 15 years. Why the car leaves spots, making things dirty, you must definitely understand this issue.

Why does the machine not wash but contaminate the laundry?

Indeed, the situation is more than strange. The machine regularly washed clothes for many years, and then suddenly “rebelled”, went into opposition and began to contaminate clothes. Somehow strange, don’t you? Meanwhile, there is nothing strange in this. The machine does not stain the laundry naturally, not because the manufacturer intended it, but for some good reason. And there are quite a few such reasons.

  • Faults in the bearing and stuffing box.
  • Dirt accumulated in and under the cuff.
  • Mold accumulated on the drum in the nozzles.
  • Dirty water.
  • Poor quality detergent.

Some reasons are more common, others less often, but they all deserve attention, perhaps it was with one of them that you also had to face. All the reasons that cause gray, brown, black or even green spots to appear on freshly washed clothes are caused by user errors, and in very rare cases we are talking about factory marriage. People just start their washing machines, neglecting to care for them.

Note! Only in 0.5% of cases, the cause of stains on clothes become defective factory seals and bearings.

Mold in nozzles and powder cuvette

Poor and improper care of the washing machine may cause a mold cap to form in the powder cuvette. This usually happens when the user closes the hatch and cuvette of the machine after washing, preventing it from drying out. As you know, mold loves damp very much, add heat here, and you will get ideal conditions for the development of a whole hat of dangerous black mold, which throws harmful spores into the air. Where is mold most often growing inside the machine?washing machine cuvette

  1. In a powder cuvette.
  2. In the nozzles going from the cuvette to the tank.
  3. On the walls of the drum.
  4. On the cuff.
  5. At the top of the tank on the walls.

If you have at least a normal scent, then do not smell the mold, you just can not. It is enough to stick your head a little in the hatch and a sharp unpleasant smell will immediately hit you in the nostrils. This is a signal to inspect the details of the machine more carefully. Do the following:

  • bend the edge of the cuff of the hatch with your fingers and look into the slot;
  • inspect the walls of the drum;
  • open the powder cuvette and look there;
  • pull out the cuvette and look into the hole for it.

Most likely, you will quickly be able to find an ugly black hat that grows and develops in your car. If the laundry comes in contact with a similar cap during washing, it will leave smeared black spots on it.

Note! Very often black mold forms on and under the cuff of the hatch.

Mold must be disposed of immediately. Pour 150 g of soda into the powder cuvette and start the idle wash at high temperature with an additional rinse. Soda and an aggressive wash will help wash the mold clean. If this fails at one time, you can repeat the procedure.

Cuff contaminated or problems with stuffing box

Mold inside the machine is far from the only thing that stains things during washing. If for cuff of the washing machinethey didn’t take care of the machine for several years, on the cuff and under it a thick dirty coating with a gray tint is formed. During washing, things touch this coating and light dirty marks remain on them. And it happens that a plaque is formed so much that it begins to fall out of the grooves of the cuff during washing and to settle with large gray spots on bright things - a terrible sight!

What to do in this case? Everything is simple here, take brushes (regular and dental), a rag and start dry cleaning the cuff. Remove gray plaque from everywhere, from each gap, the main thing is not to overdo it and do not damage the cuff.

Important! During cleaning, do not use aggressive detergents based on alkali and acids, they can damage the cuff, and this will lead to a violation of the tightness of the hatch.

If the washing machine leaves oil stains on the laundry, there may be a problem with the seals. The fact is that collapsing, oil seals begin to release grease into the tank, which in turn falls on the laundry. This is a big problem that needs to be resolved immediately, because when the seals are destroyed, not only will things be constantly contaminated, it also leads to water getting on the bearings. Water causes corrosion and very fast their bearings.

You may have looked and the bearings are already broken. They give themselves out with a creak and rattle during the rotation of the drum. And in that, and in another case, you can’t wait, you need to immediately change both the seals and bearings. Bearing replacement and the seal of the washing machine is a rather complicated matter, therefore it is better to entrust it to a professional. Just think about it, you need:

  • completely disassemble the machine;
  • to saw or untwist its tank;
  • correctly pull out old bearings and put in new ones.

But if you are not afraid of difficulties and want to do the work yourself - go for it, maybe you can do it, just be prepared for additional costs.

Or maybe the reason is washing powder or dirty water?

the machine the automatic soiled linenYou think that the washing machine leaves dirt on your clothes, and it may not be at all! The reason for the appearance of stains can be covered in poor-quality washing powder. You can object, saying that I constantly wash with the same powder for several years, and before everything was fine with the laundry. In fact, washing with the same powder does not guarantee its constant quality. You can buy a fake, you can buy a pack of powder from a defective batch, in general, anything can happen.

If you suspect that something is wrong with the powder, try washing the second batch of laundry with a different powder or with a liquid detergent in general. If there are no stains on the laundry, it means that the problem could really be in the powder. Also, the nature of the stains gives out a problem with the powder. If stains:

  1. green color;
  2. reddish;
  3. light brown;
  4. white (on dark linen).

Note! Sometimes from a low-quality powder on the clothes there are multi-colored rainbow spots. If this happened to you - do not hesitate, this is a powder.

Most likely, you really need to change the powder, although for the sake of fidelity, you still need to check again. Bad washing powder, which can leave marks on clothes, can be identified by the following symptoms.

  • It is poorly soluble in water, not dissolved granules are present on clothes after washing, and a lot of undissolved product remains in the powder cuvette.
  • A good powder for automatic washing gives a moderate amount of foam, if the powder does not give foam or there is too much foam, it is not suitable for washing.
  • Things after washing with such a powder acquire a sharp, unpleasant chemical smell that does not disappear for a long time, such a powder can not be used.

The quality of our tap water leaves much to be desired, and when carrying out plumbing repairs (replacing pipes), it is generally better not to use a washing machine or dishwasher. Experts recommend opening a cold water tap before starting the washing machine. If dirty, rusty water with small debris runs from the tap, it is better to refrain from washing for a couple of three hours.Wait until the water becomes relatively clean again, and then start the washing machine.

It is not uncommon for all the white things that were put in the washing drum to spoil due to dirty tap water. And if you take into account that it is very difficult to remove rusty stains, then think for yourself whether it is worth checking the water quality each time before washing or not.
