What are we checking first?

The machine can hang up not only in case of a malfunction in the system, but also due to banal errors in the use of washing equipment. First of all, the user needs to exclude the reasons associated with the peculiarity of operation and control of the machine. It is necessary:

  • make sure that the washing mode, which involves the spin function, is started. Perhaps the included program does not provide for draining and spinning.   • malfunctions of the electric motor and tacho sensor. The motor electronics are probably damaged or the brushes are deformed. The Hall sensor detects the number of revolutions of the engine; if it fails, a new, good tachometer should be installed;
  • damage to the water level sensor. The pressure switch transmits signals about the volume of water in the tank to the control module. If the sensor does not function, the operation of the machine stops between the “Rinse” and “Spin” options;
  • the impossibility of draining the waste fluid from the tank. The washer should free the tank from water before the spin process. If the drum is filled with water, the machine will not be able to start squeezing the laundry. In this case, it is necessary to examine the drainage system of the equipment, as well as the sewer pipe, for blockages;
  • damage to the main control unit. This can happen with a voltage drop in the mains. Also, a module malfunction occurs when moisture is applied to the part.

We clean the machine

  • with effort to press on a tank, having lowered it down;

If the tank jumps up sharply and remains in its initial position, then the shock absorbers are working at full strength. When observing tank vacillations in different directions, replacement of dampers will be required.

The shock absorber replacement procedure depends on the design of each individual washing machine model.

It is enough to turn some washers on their side and remove the bottom to gain access to shock absorbing devices. Other models will require removal of the front or back of the chassis. Cars of the Samsung and Hansa brands suggest the removal of shock absorbers together with the tank. The attachment of springs, dampers can also vary, but in most cases they are held by plastic bushings.

Testing the water level sensor

The cause of the hanging of the washing machine may be a clog in the pressure switch tubes or a failure of the sensor itself. The device is located directly below the top panel of the case. The algorithm for checking the pressure switch is as follows:

  • de-energize the AGR and remove the top cover;
  • disconnect the wiring from the sensor;
  • unscrew the fasteners and remove the level sensor;
  • inspect the nozzle for obstruction, blow into it. If you hear clicks - the device is working properly. In the opposite situation, the pressure switch should be replaced.

The element is connected in the reverse order. If you find a malfunction in the form of a freezing of the washing machine, do not rush to disassemble the equipment. Perhaps the problem is commonplace - the wrong mode or overload.
