Procedure

The washing machine may fail for a number of reasons. This can be a marriage of components during assembly, or a voltage drop in the network. Most often, the user encounters such problems:

  • after starting the program, the machine does not pick up water;
  • the drum door does not open after washing.

When the car breaks down, you do not need to randomly press the buttons and pull the cord from the outlet. This will not lead to anything, and may aggravate the situation. If the washing machine breaks down, find the instructions and read them carefully, Perhaps the reason lies in the violation of operating conditions, for example, the drain filter is clogged. Having cleared it, the problem will be eliminated.

In such a situation, the first thing to do is to eliminate everything that can cause a malfunction of the machine:

  • check if the supply and drain hoses are kinked;

  • if the outlet burned out, etc.

Important! Do not disassemble the washing machine itself in case of breakage, do not try to repair it when it is under warranty. With an independent connection, the warranty period is not lost, unless of course the connection is competent and does not lead to breakage.

If the machine really does not work, then the first thing to do is look for a warranty card. Carefully look at the date of purchase of the machine and the warranty period. And after that feel free to contact the service center. By the way, the phone number of the service center can be indicated on the warranty card or on the washing machine itself. In the absence of such numbers, you can contact the store by providing a receipt, a sales receipt and a guarantee for the washing machine. You can ask the seller:

  • free car repair;
  • refund;
  • or exchange for a similar option.

The seller can unconditionally agree, then the problem will be resolved. The seller, which, most likely, will offer to make an examination of the washing machine in order to establish the cause of the malfunction and, depending on the result of the examination, make a further decision. Or the seller may categorically refuse to accept the goods and enter into any dialogue with you.

Important! The seller may not reasonably drag out the time for the examination, in which case you need to contact the store with a complaint, and if there is no adequate answer, then contact the court.

If the seller refuses?

So, if the seller does not want to return money to you for the goods or change it, do an examination, then you need to write a complaint in a free form in which to state all the requirements with reasons. If the seller refuses to accept a written claim, then you need to send a claim letter by mail with a receipt of receipt. Then we wait within 10 business days. If there is no reaction from the seller, then contact:

  • to the Society for the Protection of Consumer Rights;
  • to the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Protection;
  • or to court.

In the first two bodies we apply in a free form letter, where we ask you to help in this situation. Well, the court must apply in the established procedural form with a statement of claim. This is best done by a lawyer, so in this case you have to turn to him. A well-written document will reduce the time for proceedings.

After making a claim, if the seller answers it and comes in contact with you, it is necessary to proceed depending on what the response to the claim will be. Most likely, the seller will offer to deliver the machine to the point of sale where it was purchased, or to a special service center for examination.

Note! The seller can provide free car delivery to the place of examination. If the machine does not work due to the fault of the seller, he is obliged to pay all expenses.

Having delivered the machine to the service center, you must definitely receive in return the acceptance certificate of the washing machine for examination. The act must have a date, in addition, it must contain all the necessary details: signatures, stamps, etc.

Having handed over the car and having received the act, we can only wait for the expert opinion. The examination is carried out within a reasonable time, if the seller contributes to the delay of the examination, then in the future, you can claim reimbursement of expenses associated with the delay. Further options are possible:

  1. the washing machine has a defect due to the fault of the seller / manufacturer - we have the right to demand the exchange of goods for a similar one, a refund, free repair;
  2. the washing machine broke down as a result of user actions - the money will not be returned to us and the goods will not be exchanged, but we reserve the right to demand an independent examination, and if we refuse, we can go to court;
  3. the washing machine was damaged through the fault of third parties, for example, power surges, poor-quality water supply services, etc. - we have the right to go to court, where we will prove the guilt of third parties and bring them to civil liability.

When can I return or replace a car under warranty?

If you mistakenly accepted a machine from the seller without noticing any defects (significant or minor), during the first 15 days from the date of purchase, you can return the washing machine to the seller and ask for a refund or exchange the car for a similar one. In this case, it is very important that the defect is obvious and does not arise through your fault, for example, with improper self-connection.

Note! When buying a car through the Internet, the period for returning and exchanging a washing machine is 7 days.

If the seller doubts that the defect has arisen through his fault, he has the right to pick up the goods for examination. And then the consequences will come according to the results indicated in the examination, unless, of course, you go to court and require an independent examination to confirm that the car broke down not through your fault.warranty repair

In the absence of defects, it is impossible to return the washing machine to the store even within a fifteen-day period. The fact is that the machine belongs to a technically sophisticated technique, and it is not subject to return or replacement without obvious breakdowns. You can clarify all the nuances by reading the Law on the Protection of Consumer Rights, paying particular attention to Articles 18, 19 and 22. Thus, you can only return money or replace a machine:

  1. if there is a serious defect within 15 days;
  2. through the court, if the examination proves that further operation is impossible, and repair is not advisable.

In other cases, you can only rely on a free repair on a warranty card.

Liabilities

Various manufacturers of washing machines provide warranty products for their products, that is, the period of time in which the washing machine must work out when used correctly. Warranty periods can be different, and the warranty period for a washing machine may differ from the warranty period for its individual components and assemblies.
