The belt flies on the Indesit washing machine

For the drum to spin while the motor is running, something is required that will connect them together. This element in the washing machine is the belt. He is an integral part of almost any washing machine, and Indesit is no exception. Therefore, if the belt flies from the drum on the Indesit washing machine, it is necessary to find out how and why this happens and correct the situation.

Why not hold on?

First of all, you need to look inside the machine and make sure that the problem is in the belt. If this is the case, then here are the most popular reasons for pulling out a belt:

• if the machine runs regularly under loads that it does not pull in configuration, the belt will sooner or later fall. If this happened for the first time - just pull the part back and enjoy the operation of the washing machine;
• if the belt does not fly off for the first time during fast drum operation, it may be stretched out. There is only one way out - to replace it with a new one;
• a drive rally may occur not only because of himself, but also because of a loosely fixed engine: the latter will periodically change its position and thereby weaken the belt. To fix the problem - secure the motor more securely;
• a loose pulley mount is also a reason for the belt to come off. All that is required is to tighten the pulley again;
• a pulley or shaft can be deformed (often the belt itself, flying off, bends them). In this case, you need to buy a new part;
• the shaft is connected to the housing of the washing machine using a cross. Consequently, if the crosspiece is damaged, the belt will fall. The way out is to buy a new cross;
• worn bearings can cause the drum to skew, which will lead to a weakening of the belt and then to its detachment;

The belt may break if the machine is turned on after a long period of inactivity, this is due to the drive drying out in the absence of work.

Or maybe we turn to the masters?

If you tighten the belt it seems an overwhelming task for you, and in general any repair and analysis of equipment causes a shudder in you - you can take the machine to technical service. This option is better than a private master, and here's why.

2. Large services have a large "base" of parts, so if replacement is necessary they will use "native" parts.

DIY installation

2. Remove the bolts from the rear panel to remove it.
3. If the belt really has fallen off - we will put it back. First, install it on the shaft, and then on the pulley. In this case, at first the belt is not stretched over the whole circle, but over a part. Then twist the pulley and carefully adjust the belt completely in a circle. After that, make sure that the belt is tight, by turning the pulley several times.
4. If the drive is torn or extended, you will have to buy a new one. Just write down your washing machine model and go to the nearest home appliance parts store or service center. After purchase, tighten the belt as described in step 3.
5. After repair, reinstall the rear panel and re-tighten the bolts.
   

If the problem recurs

Repeated belt stripping may indicate a malfunction in other parts of the machine. For example, if the pulley is deformed, setting the belt to its original position will not help - it will fly off again sooner or later. The problem is further complicated by the fact that deformation is not always noticeable to the eye. The advice here is this: if the belt loses fixing for the first time - contact a specialist.

Since one of the most common causes of belt decline is an increased load, try not to exceed the maximum load of the washing machine. Read the instructions and all attachments to the equipment for all safety precautions (and do not discard them immediately after installing the equipment).
