Why is this happening?

A pump, an engine, and a control board can present a “surprise” with insufficient drum rotation and defective drain work. Before you look for and fix the breakdown, it is better to once again check the correctness of the "diagnosis". So, the lack of spin is manifested by things obvious to the naked eye:

  • water remains in the tank even after the cycle has ended;water remains in the tank
  • drain does not work;
  • recoverable items are unusually wet;
  • drain is too noisy;
  • the cycle increases due to the very slow withdrawal of water;
  • the machine "resets" the mode several times on its own;
  • the spin button is not activated.
  • the machine emits a rumble characteristic of push-ups, but the laundry is still not wrung out.

Any of the listed symptoms indicates a problem with the electric motor and drain. With such problems, the washing machine is not able to operate at maximum speed. The reasons for switching to sparing mode can be a variety of details.

  1. Pump and drainage system as a whole. Most often, the remaining water in the drum is caused by an inoperative drain due to a blockage or a broken pump.
  2. Pressostat. When the water level sensor is faulty, the electronic control board does not detect the presence of water in the tank and does not start draining.
  3. Control module. They are not able to give commands that drain the tank and a broken module, or triacs burnt due to a short circuit. Each triac is “responsible” for a specific part of the machine and the lack of communication leads to failures.
  4. Electric motor. Another reason is the problem with the washing machine engine, which prevents the drum from accelerating for high-quality spin to the given powers. Worn electric brushes or overheated wiring limit the intensity of rotation. If the problem is worse and the motor is damaged, the machine will not turn on at all.
  5. Tachogenerator. Prevents spin and a sensor that controls the number of revolutions of the engine. In case of failure of the tachogenerator, the board does not receive a signal about the power of acceleration of the motor and blocks it in order to avoid overloads.

A lot of different problems can lead to wet things in the drum, but do not put up with the remaining water, squeeze the laundry with your hands or purchase a separate centrifuge. It’s easier and faster to contact the service center employees, and cheaper - to deal with the malfunction yourself. It is only necessary to conduct a thorough diagnosis and identify the underlying problem.

  1. We find a drain hatch in the lower right corner of the case.

  3. We lay the rags and substitute the bucket.
  4. We take out the trash filter.

  1. We check the efficiency of the pump by running the spin or drain mode. Ideally, the impeller of the pump should rotate strongly - then the system works perfectly.

Impeller static indicates pump problems - a clogged, jammed, or burnt out mechanism. Disassembling the part will help to clarify the scale of the problem. To do this, weaken the clamp on the failed pipe, disconnect it and the existing wiring from the body. We disassemble the pump and carefully inspect the inner surface. The rotation signals the elimination of the breakdown, and its absence requires a complete replacement of the pump.

  • drain water through a filter using the previously described method;
  • wait for the door to unlock and unload the laundry;
  • unscrew the two screws located in the upper part of the back wall;
  • pull the top cover towards you and remove it;
  • find the pressure switch near the wall;
  • disconnect the pipes and check for blockages.

Next, carefully inspect the contacts and the integrity of the wiring. If there are no obvious suspicions, we do the final test with a multimeter. To do this, apply probes to the appropriate connectors and evaluate the results. Normally, jumping indicators, and if there are no sharp jumps in numbers, you will have to install a new sensor.

Often the tachogenerator, also called the Hall sensor, is to blame for poor spinning of the drum. Being broken or burned out, it ceases to control engine speed, and the system loses control over the rotation of the shaft. In this case, the necessary speed does not develop and the laundry does not have time to wring out. We check the guess like this: we find the device on the motor housing and measure it with a multimeter.

The machine "freezes" on the spin

Less commonly, a malfunction occurs with the “brain” of the washing machine — the control module. In this situation, the machine starts to work unpredictably: it “forgets” to rinse the laundry, cancels the spin cycle or simply freezes in the middle of the cycle.

It is not recommended to repair the board on your own, as one careless movement will aggravate the situation, even to the point of non-repairable damage.

You can only visually assess the status of the module. For this, we disconnect the machine from the power supply, remove the top cover, pull on the powder receptacle and carefully unscrew the screws holding the front panel. We release the wiring and look for visible damage on the surface of the board. If there are none, contact the service center.
