Modes and programs of washing in the Indesit washing machine

The manufacturer of washing machines Indesit is trying to make everything very understandable in its technique. On the control panel of most cars there are not just icons indicating a particular mode, but also the name of each mode and function. This simplifies program selection and memorization. In most washing machines, the programs are similar, we will deal with them in more detail, find out what their duration, temperature and loading are.

The main

All modes / programs of washing by the manufacturer are divided into standard (main) and special (additional) ones. The main ones are on almost all models of washing machines, these include:

• cotton washing modes. One of them involves washing with pre-soaking at a high temperature of 90 degrees, while the maximum load for which the machine is designed is 2 hours 51 minutes. Suitable for kitchen towels, napkins. The intensive cotton washing mode differs only in that the time is reduced due to the lack of soaking, the laundry is washed for about 2 hours 35 minutes. It is most suitable for heavily soiled white linen (tablecloths, towels, bedding). The third cotton mode involves washing products at a temperature of 40 degrees for 2 hours 27 minutes, in this mode it is better to wash colored clothes;
  

  Note! The washing temperature during the cotton mode on Indesit machines can be changed manually. For durable colored fabrics, you can set the temperature to 60 degrees.

  

• modes of washing synthetics. There are two of them, intense at a temperature of 60 degrees, lasting 1 hour 25 minutes, and gentle at a temperature of 40 degrees and lasting 1 hour 11 minutes. The load in this mode, as a rule, is half of the maximum indicated on the front panel of the machine. About 2.5 to 3.5 kg on different models;
• Wash mode. It involves washing wool and cashmere products at a temperature of 40 degrees for 55 minutes, with a load of 1-1.5 kg, with reduced turns during spin;
• silk washing mode. In this mode, the machine erases curtains, viscose products and underwear, the water temperature is 30⁰, duration 55 minutes, loading no more than 1-1.5 kg. There is no spin in this program.

On some washing machines, the names of the cotton modes can be: prewash, normal (everyday) wash, intense and delicate wash. At the same time, for each of the programs the temperature of heating the water is indicated.

Special

Additional, also called special programs, are found on the latest models of machines. Such programs involve washing a certain type of clothing. Here is a list of them:

• Jeans program - washing jeans products at a temperature not exceeding 40⁰C, when loading no more than 2.5 kg and reduced revolutions during the spin cycle.
• Express 15 is a quick wash for 15 minutes, which allows you to refresh no more than 1.5 kg of laundry at a temperature of 30⁰WITH.
  

  Important! wash silk and wool in Express 15 mode is prohibited.

• Sports shoes - in this mode, you can wash sneakers, suede and fabric sneakers. The heating temperature is only 30⁰C, loading no more than two pairs per wash cycle. The process lasts 50 minutes.
• Sportswear is a delicate wash of sportswear at 30⁰With a duration of 1 hour 18 minutes. The drum load of the machine in this mode is approximately 2.5 kg.

Additional functions of the washing machine of this brand also include:

1. extra and gentle rinse;
2. spin;
3. drain without spin;
4. Eco Time - this feature will reduce the time for washing due to the optimization of water consumption. The function is compatible only with one of the cotton washing modes and synthetic washing modes.

How to choose a mode

The choice of washing modes is carried out using the handle of the programmer.The numbers of the program are indicated in a circle around the handle, and the decryption of these programs is given on the left of the washing machine. On very old models, there is no verbal decoding, but there is a decoding in the form of characters that should be intuitively understandable. The picture below shows such an Indesit machine control panel.

In the column on the left under the numbers from 1 to 7, programs for washing cotton products are offered. In the next column programs with numbers from 8 to 10 are programs for washing synthetics. In the last column (on the right), program number 11 is a delicate wash.

The icons for numbers 5 and 12 are rinsing, under numbers 6 and 13 - watering clothes, 7 and 14 - temperature, at number 15, the drain is encrypted.

The photo below shows another control panel of the Indesit machine. It has such functions (circled in red):

• pre-soaking;
• easy ironing;

• extra rinse.
