Cases when Vestel washing machines require repairs are rare, but they do occur.

What breaks more often?
Theoretically, anything can break in any automatic washing machine, and there are many reasons for this: improper operation, special operating conditions, low-quality parts, faulty assembly, etc. But these are rather one-time situations. According to service centers, each brand of washing machines has its own group of faults that constantly arise with this equipment. Turkish Vestel washing machines are no exception. What kind of breakdowns are typical for these machines?
- The wash does not start. Although the control panel works, the machine turns on and the program is selected, but the start button does not respond.
- Freezes after the wash starts. In this case, it is possible to select a program and start it, but after 5-10 minutes of operation the washing machine itself stops and stops responding to anything. In about half of the cases it produces error E07.
- The machine does not remove any powder or detergent from the cuvette. Such malfunctions are not uncommon for new Vestel washing machines and they are not related to water quality or contamination.

Here we will talk only about the most common breakdowns of washing machines of this brand and will try to make the conversation as thorough as possible.
Wash won't start
The vast majority of people, for some reason, think that if the washing program does not start and the start button on the control panel of the washing machine does not respond, then the problem is certainly in the electronics. Although the lights on the control panel are lit, the toggle switch works, and programs are selected. In fact, everything may turn out to be simpler; with Vestel washing machines, this happens in 40% of cases - The sensor of the hatch locking device breaks down, the control module believes that the hatch is not closed, so it does not start the wash, but it does not give an error either.
As a result, the hatch is closed, you press the start button, but nothing happens. Where to start looking for the cause of the problem? We recommend starting with the simplest.
- Turn off the washing machine, wait 10 seconds, then turn it on again. If the problem persists, turn it off and on again; if the problem persists, proceed to the next step.
- We disconnect the car from the network, open the hatch cover and use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the two screws that are located near the locking device.
- Carefully remove the locking mechanism from the depths of the washing machine.
Important! The sensor wires are connected to the locking device; try not to tear them off.
- Next, take a multimeter and measure the resistance at the contacts of the locking device sensor.
The resistance of a working cold thermistor is 900 Ohms; if the device outputs 0 or 1, the blocking device is faulty.
Here is the main reason why the washing program does not start.Change the hatch locking device and everything will work fine. If the locking device is working properly, but there is a problem, then the problem is electrical. You will have to disassemble the control panel and check first the button, and then the microcircuit for damage, but it is better not to do this with your own hands - contact a specialist.
Freezes after starting the wash
Repair of Vestel washing machines may be required when the “home assistant” suddenly suddenly begins to freeze after the start of washing. Typically, such freezes occur after the first 5-10 minutes after the start of washing and 1-3 minutes before the end of washing. In this case, the washing machine does not freeze “tightly”, the drum sometimes “shows signs of life”, the control panel works, the lights are on, and the progress of the program is displayed on the display.
If error code E07 is not displayed on the control panel, proceed as follows.
- We turn off the washing machine with our own hands, unplug the power cord from the socket, wait 30 seconds, and then plug the machine back in and start the washing program. If
the problem does not recur, which means that the error was resolved by rebooting the control board. - If the previous step does not help, try turning off the washing machine and checking whether it is level. A similar problem often occurs with Vestel washing machines that are placed on a crooked, unsupported floor.
- The reason for freezing can also be the hatch locking device. Try to push the hatch with your knee, if the machine reacted and continued to execute the program, the problem is probably in the locking device, it needs to be checked and changed as described above.
For your information! Indirectly, problems with the hatch are indicated by its periodic jamming when opening.
The worst thing is if the freezes are repeated, and error E07 appears on the display. In this case, 99% of the problem is in the control board and you need to invite an experienced technician who will accurately diagnose the breakdown and issue a verdict. You won’t be able to fix this problem with your own hands, and we don’t recommend trying, since an unsuccessful attempt can result in even more expensive repairs.
Doesn't pick up powder or rinse aid
Another fairly common problem with Vestel washing machines is that they suddenly start washing clothes without any powder at all, although the owners continue to regularly fill and pour detergent into the cuvette. Why does this happen, for what reason does the machine not pick up powder from the powder receptacle? In Vestel, the reason is in most cases the same - the water supply valve.
For some reason, Turkish cars often have filling valves that are defective from the factory. Moreover, this defect is tricky; it may not appear for some time, and then unexpectedly emerge, for example, after the end of the warranty period. What is the essence of the problem? When you start a wash program, the control module commands the fill valve to supply water to the tank. In normal mode, the valve should open and water begins to flow into the tank, then the valve closes and washing begins.
In our case, the valve also opens, but does not open completely. As a result, water takes longer to draw and with less pressure, practically not getting into the cuvette with powder. As a result, the powder remains undissolved and the quality of the wash drops significantly.
Note! For such brands of washing machines as Samsung, LG, Indesit, the self-diagnosis system recognizes a slow water supply, and if this happens, it generates a corresponding system error. The Vestel machine often does not recognize slow water intake.
Repairing a defective valve is useless; it needs to be replaced. How to do it?
- We purchase a new valve from the corresponding model of the Vestel washing machine.
- We disconnect the washing machine from the network, water supply and sewerage and pull it out of the niche in which it is built.
- Unscrew the screws holding the top cover and remove it. If you have problems with this, read the publication Removing the top cover of the washing machine.
- Under the cover where the inlet hose fits, you will see a plastic inlet valve. Disconnect the sensor wires from it.
- Next, unscrew the fasteners holding the valve with your own hands and remove it.
- Install a new one in place of the old valve, screw it on, connect the wires. Replace the cover, install and connect the machine, and check its operation.
In conclusion, we note that Turkish Vestel washing machines are of average quality, average parameters and do not break down very often.
