Repair of dishwashers Miele

Mile dishwasher repairMila's dishwashers are not yet very common in Russia, at least not as much as Bosch, Indesit or Hansa. Most likely, the point is clearly overpriced, although let’s leave this question to marketers, let them find out. We are more interested in the repair of Miele dishwashers. German-made Miele dishwashers themselves are assembled in Germany, so there is no doubt in quality. But still, after a while, the cars break down, and these failures for different users are often the same. Let's talk about them.

The most common symptoms of breakdowns

Like in any other dishwasher, Mila can break anything, because this is a technique. However, the units of this dishwasher break down relatively rarely, because the manufacturer gives a separate guarantee of reliability to the engine, pump, valves, sensors and these elements are really reliable, which is confirmed by both masters and users.

A reasonable question arises, why does the dishwasher break down at all? There are many reasons, here are improper operation and poor water quality and problems with the electrical network and wear. What kind of breakdowns occur in this case, and what symptoms cause such malfunctions?

  • Water flows from Mile's dishwasher.
  • The water entering the dishwasher does not heat up to the desired temperature or does not heat up at all.
  • The dishwasher Miele refuses to turn on.
  • The machine interrupts and issues an error code.

Dishwasher is flowing

Modern Mile dishwashers are equipped with a special leakage protection system called Waterproof. This system protects the hose of the Miele dishwasher and the dishwasher itself from tears, fistulas, water shocks. If the hose breaks, its outer shell will hold back the pressure of the water, a valve will work, which will reliably block the water.

If a leak occurs somewhere in the dishwasher, then water will inevitably flow into a special pan. In this pan there is a float with a sensor, as soon as water enters there, the float rises, the sensor is triggered, sending a signal to the electrovalve which shuts off the water. In general, nothing special, the Waterproof system, in this sense, is very similar to the well-known Aquastop system.

Note! Waterproof, Aquastop, and Aquacontrol systems are similar in design and have the same function - stop leaks.

The question arises, if there is a leakage protection system on the machine, then why does it still flow?

  1. The inlet hose may be damaged or improperly installed at the point where it is connected to leakage protectiontee tap or dishwasher. Quite often, when installing a dishwasher, the wizard pulls the hose mount, squeezing the gasket - as a result, the dishwasher begins to leak at the joints. Waterproof system in this case will not help.
  2. The pan may be damaged. The tray with the Waterproof sensor on most Mile dishwasher models is plastic and, in fact, rather flimsy. Here, manufacturers apparently saved on the material, provided that the machine can cost both 150 and 200 thousand rubles. It often happens that the pallet will be hit during transportation, it will burst, but the user will not pay attention to it, because the machine works fine. Subsequently, after a time, a leak occurs, the water enters the damaged sump, but cannot be held there, the float does not work and the water flows to the floor.
  3. The door does not close properly. Accidental damage to the sealing gum around the door or its wear can cause leakage. Water during the washing of dishes will seep out of the cracks and in part fall into the pan, and in part on the floor.

The above failures are fixed as follows. If the hose or drip tray is damaged, the replacement of these elements will help. You can try to solder the pallet with your own hands, but, as you know, there will be no guarantees that it will withstand leakage. In the case of the door, it will be necessary to change the sealing gum. This is done quickly and simply, the main thing is to find and purchase an original sealant from Miele. The machine washes dishes with cold water

If the dishwasher stops heating water, an experienced master immediately estimates the list of possible malfunctions:

  • burned up ten;
  • the triac on the control board responsible for the ten burned out;
  • contacts of the ten burned up.

This, in general, is not a complete but correct list of the causes of the problem when it comes to any other dishwasher, but not Mila. What we listed above happens to Miele dishwashers once every 5,000 breakdowns, in other words, quite infrequently. But then what causes the dishwasher to stop heating water? There is only one reason - the thermistor is out of order.

A thermistor (in another way, a temperature sensor) is a weak point of Mile dishwashers, for some reason these sensors "fly" on them most often. Experienced craftsmen already know this feature of Miele dishwashers and if they encounter the fact that the machine does not heat water, immediately check this sensor. How to find, check and replace this sensor is described in detail in the article. Do not heat the water in the dishwasher.

Note! You can easily change the thermistor with your own hands, and it costs quite inexpensively.

The machine refuses to turn on

dishwasher milletMiele dishwasher repairs may be required when they refuse to turn on. This is a situation where the power to the dishwasher does not come at all and no indicator lights up, despite the fact that the power cord is connected to a working outlet, and the on / off button is pressed. What malfunctions give rise to this symptom. Basically, there is only one reason: the contacts of the on / off button are burnt out (it happens quite rarely).

If problems arose with the on / off button, then you need to check it, make sure that it is in it, and then make a replacement. We do the following.

  1. We open the door of the dishwasher so as to gain access to its interior.
  2. We unscrew the screws from the ends of the door and its inner part.
  3. We disassemble the door, unscrew and disconnect the connectors of the control board.
  4. We take a voltmeter and measure the resistance of the contacts of the on / off button.

To begin with, you can try to clean the contacts using a special composition for cleaning textolite boards, and then measure the resistance again. If the button is clearly defective, you need to replace it with a similar one.

Important! When soldering the parts of the control module board, be extremely careful not to damage the tracks, otherwise the board will have to be changed, which is very expensive.

The dishwasher gives an error code and stops

dishwasher repair MileMillet brand dishwashers, like many others, have a self-diagnosis system. In some cases, the machine itself can find and identify a malfunction by issuing an appropriate error code. Using this code, it will be much easier for the user or master to find the problem. Most often, the machine produces the following errors:

  • F01, F02 - faulty thermistor;
  • F11, F12 - there are problems with the flow of water;
  • F13, F14 - faulty pressure switch.

If the control module generates any of these errors, it stops the dishwasher until the correction of the breakdown that caused this error. The main thing is to correctly identify the error and determine how it is best eliminated, and in this case, the help of a qualified master may well be required.

In conclusion, we note the Miele German dishwashers are very, very reliable, but even with them troubles can occur in the form of breakdowns of various nature.In this article, we reviewed the symptoms of these breakdowns, the malfunctions that these symptoms give rise to, and how to eliminate them.
