Kaiser dishwasher repair

Kaiser dishwasher repairKaiser is a well-known German brand that produces the best equipment. In particular, Kaiser dishwashers are considered the most reliable in the world, and their ergonomic design continues to amaze users around the world. Such machines require repairs quite rarely, so in Russia there are few craftsmen who would often encounter their breakdowns. However, even such reliable equipment cannot be spared malfunctions, and we have not ignored the topic related to the repair of Kaisers.

What breaks most often in Kaiser dishwashers?

If you believe the statistical data provided by service centers in Europe and Russia, the main breakdowns of Kaiser dishwashers are associated with improper operation and connection, or with a poor electrical network. Out of 1000 recorded situations where repair of a Kaiser dishwasher was required, in 897 cases the cause of the breakdown was user errors made during operation, in 89 cases the culprit of the breakdown was a poor-quality electrical network, and only in 14 cases it was a manufacturing defect or poor assembly.

For your information! Above are the statistics of calls to service centers regarding breakdowns of Kaiser dishwashers in the first year of operation. In total, in 2014-2015, 1,368 cases of user requests from European countries and the Russian Federation were recorded when repairs were actually required.

What are the most common causes of failure of Kaiser dishwashers?

  • Clogged drain system.
  • Filling system clogged.
  • Problems with electrical and electronics due to poor condition of the electrical network.

Clogged drain system

Kaiser dishwasher repairThere is a category of dishwasher users who believe that if they have paid money for good equipment, then they can use it to the maximum without bothering with caring for it. It usually ends badly - the dishwasher stops working. In some cases, users, trying to figure out the problem on their own, clean the filters and rinse the drain hoses, but the problem still remains.

Experts say that if you do not clean your dishwasher, it may require repairs, because blockages can cause damage to the pump or heating element, and this is already serious. If a blockage occurs, you cannot continue to operate the Kaiser dishwasher; you must immediately stop the washing process, and then carry out a complete cleaning, both manually and using special products. For more information on how to clean dishwashers, see the article about replacing and cleaning the dishwasher filter.

Filling system clogged

In most large and small cities of our vast homeland, the quality of tap water leaves much to be desired, and it’s not even a matter of “hard water.” Often, impurities appear in water that can harm not only human health, but also equipment, so the user’s first priority is to take care of the protection of the expensive Kaiser dishwasher, otherwise repairs will be required. What will happen if this is not done?

Important! To avoid having to repair Kaiser dishwashers later, you must install at least one additional flow filter on the inlet hose, which must be cleaned regularly.

If you do not install any additional filters, then there is only one barrier between the water supply and the bowels of the dishwasher - a standard flow filter, which is installed by the manufacturer at the inlet directly in front of the fill valve. The mesh on this filter is very thin, and if you do not resort to any additional water purification measures, it will quickly become clogged and a blockage will occur. The machine will not be able to pump water, will freeze and will require repairs. What should be done?

  1. It is necessary to shut off the flow of water into the machine.
  2. Disconnect the inlet hose from the dishwasher body.
  3. Next, you need to unscrew the flow filter from the machine body and clean it thoroughly.
  4. Next, you can clean the hose itself, after that we put everything back in place and check the operation of the machine.

Experts strongly do not recommend starting this malfunction. If you see that your dishwasher is taking in water very slowly, begin repairs immediately. The fact is that if there is not enough water in the dishwasher tank, the load on the flow-through heating element increases, which in turn leads to its rapid breakdown. Simply put, look at the filter - if you change the heating element, take it as seriously as possible.

Electrical and electronics problems

Voltage regulatorThe essence of the malfunction, in this case, is not even in the electrics or electronics of Kaiser dishwashers, the problem is in electrical communications, which invariably cause damage to “delicate” European equipment. As a result of the usual sharp increase or drop in voltage, control modules and surge protectors in Kaiser dishwashers fail, in rare cases even wires and contacts burn, and other malfunctions occur.

If you notice a voltage drop, and then the dishwasher stops working, do not try to work on it yourself - invite an experienced technician to diagnose the problem. To avoid similar problems in the future, it is necessary to connect all expensive and complex equipment in the house through stabilizers. A stabilizer is not a cheap device, but imagine if it immediately saves you from voltage surges:

  • dishwasher;
  • fridge;
  • washing machine.

All costs will immediately pay off and you will no longer rack your brains over the question of whether or not to buy such a protective product. The machine will not be in danger of such malfunctions. In addition to the stabilizer, you need to take care to connect the Kaiser dishwasher to a good moisture-resistant outlet with a reliable copper power cable with a cross-section of 1.5-2 mm. You need to connect the line through a difavtomat, it’s more reliable.

To summarize, if your Kaiser dishwasher breaks down within the first year of operation and requires repair, most likely the cause of the malfunction was either incorrect user actions or poor communications. The reliable Kaiser machines themselves rarely break down. Be careful, take better care of your dishwasher, and it won’t require repairs for a long time.

      Suddenly.
      I thought the sensor was not giving a command.
      Thank you.

    They wrote some crap. I disassembled the Kaiser PMM, instead of delicate European electronics there is an equally delicate Chinese board with the inscription CMedea.

    Kaiser is the best appliance... I've been struggling with my dishwasher for 5 years now! Almost every dishwashing is accompanied by some kind of glitches, expressed in the sound signal and repeated attempts to proceed to the next stage of washing - adding water, rinsing, draining, setting, washing, etc. This is just tough! Not to mention that the hose connections are leaking, the door holding mechanism is broken, the pull-out tray rollers are corroded... It’s just a disaster :)
