Self Diagnostic Database

There are more than ten error codes in the database of the self-diagnosis system of the Hyer machine. Among them are minor problems with the unlocked hatch and dangerous warnings with a risk of fire. A list of standard combinations will help assess the magnitude of the situation that has arisen:

• ERR Says that the machine is not able to start a cycle. The door may not be closed properly or there are problems with the locking mechanism or the sunroof locking device.
• ERR Fixes the lack of a full drain for 4 minutes. Such consequences are caused by a faulty pump, clogging or crushing of hoses and pipes.
• ERR Error with water heating. It results in a loss of connection with the temperature sensor due to a defect in the thermostat itself or the wiring connected to it.
• ERR Another mistake when heating water. Here, the failed heater or the damaged wiring between the heating element and the control module is “guilty”.
• ERR No water has been poured into the tank for the set 8 minutes, and washing cannot start. There are several reasons: there is no water supply, low pressure in the water supply, blockage in the inlet hose, breakdown of the inlet valve, pressure switch or pump.
• ERR The main management module has fallen into disrepair. More precisely, the wiring of the control board or module elements is faulty.
• Err Extremely dangerous! Possible fire! The fault was a short circuit or other problems with current leakage.
• ERR Diagnosed with a water transfusion. The pressure switch or the module triac responsible for receiving signals from the sensor has broken.
• ERR The permissible volume of water in the tank has been exceeded. A failure has occurred with the intake valve or control.
• UNB. Imbalance. The linen is unevenly distributed on the walls of the drum and does not allow the machine to continue washing.
• EUAR. Signals about faulty electronics, damage to the cable loop of the electrical unit.
• NO SALT. There was a problem with the cleaning agent: there was a reaction to the composition of the powder, its absence in the tray was fixed, or the dispenser was clogged.

If an ERR1 error occurs, it’s easy to repair the Haier machine yourself. It is enough to repeat the closing of the door or press it more tightly to the body until a characteristic click is heard. It will not be superfluous to check whether the cuff is stuck in the laundry.

If the signal combination does not disappear, check the lock:

• open the door;
• inspect the tab-latch;
• when shifted, return to the correct location;
• feel the hinges, if weakened - tighten the fasteners.

Draining is difficult or not possible

It is not difficult to independently solve the problem with the drain. It is enough to test for any clogging hoses and fittings, inspect the impeller of the pump and clean the dust filter. This is done through a drain hatch located on the front panel in the lower right corner.We open the rectangular door, prying it with a screwdriver, drain the water into the prepared container, unscrew the filter and remove the accumulated dirt. At the same time, we check the integrity of the tubes and the free rotation of the impeller.

The water stopped warming

In case of errors ERR3 and ERR4, the system fixes malfunctions with the heating element. The harbingers of a deteriorating heating element will be poorly washed dirt and the musty smell of linen. It is simple to confirm the failure of the heater: put your palm on the door 20 minutes after the start of the cycle. A cold surface will prove the lack of water heating.

The final test is carried out with a multimeter. Disconnect the machine from the network, unscrew the back cover and find it under the heater heater. Disconnect the wires, loosen the middle nut and remove the element. It remains only to connect the probe probes and evaluate the results on the display.

Water does not reach the tank

Often an error indicates the inability of the machine to draw water into the tank to start the cycle. The reason is the failure of the dial valve, pressure switch, control unit or clogged filter mesh. To solve the problem, it is necessary to more accurately determine the source of the malfunction; a number of simple steps must be performed.

1. If the powder in the dispenser is not washed, then the feed valve is to blame. The situation will be corrected by closing the network with 220 V supply to the device, after which the water will pour into the tank. If there is no reaction to the current, we unscrew and replace the element.
2. When the machine buzzes and fills up for a long time, we clean the mesh.
3. The pressure switch is checked by blowing the fitting with a suitable diameter tube.

If the outcome is unsuccessful, we stop the self-diagnosis. Most likely, the corresponding resistors on the module burned out, and their replacement is necessary. Only a professional master can handle this.

Electronic module failure

In case of errors ERR6, ERR7 and EUAR, self-repair of the washing machine is prohibited. The maximum that is allowed to the amateur is to turn off the power and start the machine after 20 minutes. If the code does not disappear from the display, you will have to call the service. The master will arrive, remove the control module from your typewriter and take it to the workshop for diagnosis and repair. Handicraft repair of the module is fraught with problems and an increase in the cost of repairing the breakdown.
