Getting ready for repair

First of all, it is necessary to prepare for the upcoming repair: diagnose the problem and assemble the required tool and accessories. Practice shows that with the first there are no special problems - one glance at the door is enough to understand the nature of the damage. So, one of three things happens:

• broken glass;
• damaged / jammed lock;
• broken plastic support on the door hinge.

When the problem is specified, we begin the search for the necessary tools. First of all, we are looking for a screwdriver. For most machines, just a flat bit is enough, but some imported washers require asterisks or curly profiles. Sometimes you can not do without special extension nozzles that facilitate access to problem areas.

1. We unscrew the hatch door from the body and put it on a flat surface.
2. Take a file or file with the thinnest notch.
3. We insert the tool into the hole and grind the existing notches.

4. Apply graphite grease to the treated surface.
5. Wipe off excess grease.
6. We return the door to its place and fix it with retaining bolts.

Change the glass

So, you have to prepare a polyester or epoxy resin, as well as adhesive tape, film and reinforcing tape. AT ideally, damaged glass is removed, but if this is not possible, proceed according to the following algorithm:

1. Carefully glue the front wall of the door with plastic wrap and tape.

2. We put the reinforcing tape on the damaged area.
3. We breed resin in certain instructions.
4. Pour the prepared mixture into the place of cleavage.
5. Leave the door for 24 hours.

After the final drying, remove the plastic film and eliminate smudges with irregularities with sandpaper. Now you can install the hatch door in the reverse order.

Support restoration

Often the door support also suffers, which is also easy to repair with your own hands. First, remove the door from the hinges and dismantle the affected part. We continue like this:

• we connect the broken parts together and firmly fix in a vice;
• we take a nail of diameters of 3-4 mm and shorten it to an equal length support;
• drill a through hole with a diameter of 2.8-3.8 mm in combined loops;
• we clamp the nail in pliers and heat over an open fire to a temperature of 180 degrees;
• insert the hot rod into the drilled hole;
• quickly assemble the door (no longer than 3 minutes) and install it in place.

You can fix the door of the washing machine without the help of repairmen. It is enough to focus on the instructions given and to act with extreme caution.
