The principle of the washing machine - automatic

The principle of operation of the washing machineModern household appliances are necessary in order to make our life easier. It helps to release many hours of our lives and devote them to those things that we like best. It also allows us to relax more. But not everyone was interested in how our technology works. I did not understand the fundamental principles of its functioning. By the way, these principles can be quite interesting. And if you find yourself curious about the various technical innovations that progress has brought into our daily lives, then you will also like this article.

Perhaps you still found those times when you washed your laundry yourself. Then they rinsed it twice. First in warm, and then in cold water. Then squeezed and hung to dry. This required a lot of time and effort.

Whether business now! Nowadays, in order to get a perfectly clean and pleasantly smelling linen, just put it in the tank and set the washing mode. And after a while you can already get it! A few dozen years ago, such a wash could seem like magic! And now this is a common occurrence. And so, let's move on to the principles of washing.

How does a washing machine work?

Front and vertical loading of the washing machineWashing machines are frontal and vertical loading. All of them are powered by electricity. The center of the washing machine is its drum. We throw dirty laundry into it. It spins during washing. Due to this, the laundry to be washed is dropped into the water. Water easily gets inside the drum, as there are many small holes in it. When the hatch is closed, that part of it where the washing takes place is airtight. And if the machine is working properly, then moisture cannot get out.

The washing itself does not have any special secrets or tricks. Everything is simple enough.

Things are in the water in which the washing powder is dissolved. Then the drum rotates, and the laundry is mechanically cleaned, interacting with the resulting solution. After the main washing step is completed, the contaminated water is drained and rinsed, and then spin. Also, in some machines there is a drying function, which allows you not to hang clothes, but to get already dry.

A tank is located behind the drum of the machine. It is the main reservoir of water. The drum also acts as an active rotating part, which gives the movement of linen. Due to this, washing takes place.

In machines with horizontal (frontal) loading, the laundry is placed in the hole of the hatch located in the front of the case. This type is the most common in Russia and Europe. In America and many Asian countries, top-loading washing machines are more commonly used. The structure of the latter is somewhat different. Underwear is placed on top.

The tank and drum of the machine, in fact, are the main items directly involved in the washing process. But besides them, there are other equally important details. For example, a heater, which is also a heating element, brings water to the required temperature. And to control the heating, the thermostat is activated. It measures the temperature and tells you when to stop heating. There are also water supply and withdrawal systems. They have valves that allow liquids to enter when necessary. And they remove it from the tank when it is no longer needed.

To ensure water drainage, a drain pump (pump) is operated. And he sees to it that everything is in order electronic control module.

Laundry Washing Steps

Program Wash ModesAn automatic washing machine is a household appliance that can independently carry out all washing processes from start to finish. She fully controls her work in accordance with the parameters set by the program. And if it is serviceable, then all stages of the washing will take place clearly and smoothly. And if there are failures, then it is time to call the master or deal with them on their own. Fortunately for this there is our site. It will help to cope with many failures yourself.

Washing begins with loading. Just in case, we remind you that before loading the laundry, you need to remove everything from the pockets. Next, washing powder is poured. It must be placed in a special compartment of the dispenser. Then plug in the plug (by the way, this can be done before). Then make sure that the water is not blocked. Select the desired washing mode and start it.

The machine is guided by the set parameters and without your participation begins to collect water and wash. The dispenser is also washed in the process. And the powder enters the compartment with linen and water. The thermostat allows you to turn on the heater and heat the water to the required temperature. And when there is enough water in the tank and it has reached the required heating, the main wash begins. During it, the drum spins, moving the laundry in a solution of water and powder.

The resulting solution, along with the rotation of the drum, removes dirt from things. Then a special valve opens, a drain pump is connected and water flows from the tank. When water has flowed out, the water supply valve opens. And fresh clean water fills the tank.

After it reaches the required amount, which, by the way, is monitored by a level sensor, rinsing starts. Rinse is repeated several times. And when the required number of repetitions has already been completed, the spin starts. During the spin cycle, the machine's drum rotates intensely. And the water leaves through the opening of the drum into the tank. And already from the tank it is pumped out by a drain pump.

Some washing machine models have a drying function. It happens after the spin. If this option is not provided in your machine or is simply turned off, then after the spin cycle the wash is finished. And you can get the laundry when locking the hatch allows. This usually happens within three minutes after the wash.
