How to replace the drain hose in a Samsung washing machine

Automatic washing machines have a fairly long service life. Well, if you look after them properly, then it can still be extended. Some simple failures that occur over time can be fixed on your own. In our article, we will consider how to change the drain hose. This procedure is not difficult and does not require special knowledge.

Why change it?

A drain hose in the washing machine is required to drain used water. It is located next to the nozzle and moves away from the drain pump, which in turn ensures the flow of fluid into the hose. As a rule, it is made of polypropylene. This material allows you to stay resistant to high water temperatures and aggressive detergents. But, despite its high durability, Samsung hose replacement over time becomes a necessity. Consider the main reasons for installing a new pipe.

1. Disconnect A standard length hose is included with the washing machine. Often, to lengthen, the owner increases it. At the junction, a rush occurs most often.
2. Damage. Possible mechanical impact on the part leads to rupture of the material. Water leaks out. Replacement is urgently needed.
3. Congestion. Over time, scale builds up on the inner walls of the hose, the remnants of the detergent stick, and water can no longer pass through the path.

Change the hose yourself

Repairing the replacement of the hose is a simple procedure and it is quite possible to do it yourself. The most important thing when working with devices is to remember safety precautions. Therefore, the first thing to do is the preparatory work:

• disconnect the AGR from the power supply;
• block the pipe through which water enters the machine;
• prepare a container where we will drain the remaining water and a rag;
• pull out the washer so that it is freely accessible;
• drain existing water by unfastening the inlet pipe;
• unscrew the filter cover on the front panel, there may also be water residues, drain them.

Now you can start replacing the part. The easiest way to remove the drain hose is from the bottom. To do this, you have to tilt the Samsung washing machine forward or to the side. You will see that the hose is attached to the snail. We proceed to replace the defective part.

1. Release the drain pump. To do this, unscrew the bolts.
2. Remove the part and loosen the clamp designed to connect the pump to the hose.
3. The second end also needs to be disconnected.
4. Take a new hose. We will install the part in the same order as we removed it.
5. With a hose clamp we attach the hose to the pump.
6. The second end is again connected to the body with a clamp.

This is the end of the replacement. It remains to return the washing machine to its place and connect it to electricity.

How to buy a new hose

As you can see, replacement can be handled quite easily. But sometimes the problem arises from the fact that the wrong hose was purchased. Of course, you can resort to simple tricks, so as not to be mistaken. For example, take an old one with you to the store. Or record a model and provide information to a sales assistant. 3. Coveted.Such a hose consists of modules about half a meter in size. Convenient in that due to its design allows you to adjust the length.
