Cleaning the filter of a Candy washing machine

Like any other, Kandy's washing machine has a waste filter. It should be cleaned in a timely manner. Forgetfulness can turn into a serious breakdown of a faithful assistant. In this article, you will learn how to clean the filter in a Kandy washing machine.

Cleaning instructions

In washing machines there are two filters for garbage: inlet (inlet) and drain (drainage). The first cleans the water coming from the water supply into the machine from the impurities contained in it (rust, sand, etc.). The second prevents small items that could be loaded into the washing machine along with the laundry from getting into the drain pump.

If there was no drainage filter, the drain pump would instantly fail, and congestion would appear in the drain hose.

You can handle the cleaning of the garbage filter yourself, there is no need to call the wizard for this. Follow the instructions clearly, this will help to avoid various troubles: from a dirty puddle on the floor to putting the machine in a completely malfunctioning state.

The first question that arises is: where is the filter at the Kandy typewriter? It can be found below - in the front left side of the case. It is covered by a special camouflage panel or a hinged lid, directly behind which the hatch is located. Finding where the filter is located, you must sequentially perform the following steps:

1. To provide access to the place you need, move the machine and raise it slightly if necessary. Remove the decorative panel or open the manhole cover. To do this, it is convenient to use a wide knife or a flat screwdriver. The closing element is pulled out on itself or shifted to the side.
   
2. In washing machines only in the drum, water is completely absent. A small amount of fluid in the system always remains. When dismantling the filter, it will pour out, so install a container under the hole and cover the floor with a rag. If there is an emergency hose, remove it and drain the water.
3. Remove the filters. To remove the inlet filter, you just need to unscrew the hose, the mesh can be cleaned without removing, or gently pulled out with tweezers. The drain filter closes the plug; it should be unscrewed. Unscrew the screw fasteners with a screwdriver and pull out the filter completely.
4. Clean the filter. Remove coarse debris from the filter, rinse the mesh under running water. To prevent the rubber bands from deforming, rinse with warm water, not hot.
   
   
5. Using a flashlight, examine the filter hole and pump pump. Clean the impeller of dirt and objects. The impeller must rotate freely.
6. Put the pump filter back in place, carefully assembling it and tightening all the screws.
7. Check the operation of the machine by connecting it and starting the rinse mode. During operation of the machine, carefully monitor for leaks. If the machine leaks, it means that something was installed incorrectly.
8. Replace the camouflage panel or close the manhole cover. If the machine was moving, move it to its original position.

How to clean?

Sometimes a situation arises when the filter cannot be cleaned with water alone. This usually happens if a lot of time has passed since the previous cleaning. What to do with a heavily soiled filter?

In this case, use additional funds. Pour soda and citric acid with warm water at the rate of 20-50 g per liter of water. Such a solution helps remove scale, rust and mucus. Soak the filter parts in it for a maximum of half an hour, then rub with a sponge and rinse with water. If plaque is insignificant, it will be cleaned with toothpaste or laundry soap.

Instead of soda and citric acid, special solutions that remove rust are suitable.

I can not unscrew

Sometimes it is not possible to unscrew and get the filter because of various objects stuck in it.Hair, socks and handkerchiefs, coins, beads and other small items during washing can be in the trap in front of the pump and plug it. Also, limescale deposit on the thread may occur if the filter is not removed for a long time.

There are three ways to open the trash filter in this case. Use them in turn, proceeding to the next method only if you tried the previous one and it did not help. Before you start, be sure to disconnect the machine from the power supply and close the valve so that water does not enter.

1 way. Use pliers or pliers to unscrew the filter cover. On it is a pen that you need to try to scroll with the tool. Handling should be carried out very carefully so as not to break the filter part.

2 way. Gently hit the drain pump filter cover several times by tilting the washing machine. This method is suitable when:

• the dust filter lid does not scroll at all;
• partially rotates;
• it turns out to unscrew, but can not be removed.

Tilt the machine back and lean it against the wall. Tap on the dust filter cover and the housing next to it. If the snag is in small objects that have stalled the necessary part, then they will shift due to knocking, and you can unscrew and remove the filter.

3 way. If the two previous methods were powerless, then you need to completely remove the drain pump. The task is to clean the snail and remove the filter. This method is quite complicated - you need to get to the pump, unhook the pump from the cochlea and get to the filter through the resulting hole.

Design features of individual models of Kandy washing machines allow the dismantling of the drainage pump through the bottom. If it is easily removed or completely absent, then it is easier and more convenient to get a snail with a pump in this way. Putting the machine on its side or just tilting it in the right direction and resting on the wall, remove the bottom and find the pump. It is located behind the filter, that is, in the lower part of the housing.

The listed methods should be applied only if you are confident in your abilities and have certain skills in repairing various devices. If the filter does not unscrew, and you are not too good in technology, it is better to call the wizard. It must be remembered that out of ignorance you can not only waste time in vain, but also worsen the situation.
