Why foam remains in the dishwasher

bottom foamImagine that every time foam remains in the dishwasher after washing the dishes. The number of dishes does not matter, even if you make half the load, foam at the bottom of the washing chamber is still present. To sound or not to sound the alarm? This will depend on the amount of foam. If there is very little foam, just a few shreds, do not pay attention, this is normal. But if the foam hides the sprinkler located below, and tries to get out of the washing chamber, you need to find out the cause of the problem. We, according to tradition, will help you.

And what washed the dishes?

Lots of foam at the bottom of the dishwasher? Check the quality of the detergent you are using. Often unscrupulous manufacturers of cheap products add elements to the composition that cause increased foaming. You can check it easily. Buy some trialtablets for dishwashers and see how your "home assistant" will work with them. If the foam still forms, then it is not a detergent.

Instead of a good factory tool, some dishwasher owners add mustard, washing powder, citric acid, vinegar, soda, etc. to the dishwasher. Some are convinced that any, even the best pill, will be replaced by Faerie dishwashing gel, which they safely pour into the dishwasher. Then they first shouted that the dishwasher is bad, that it spits with foam.

Friends, remember that PMM manufacturers do not just write detailed instructions for household appliances. The provisions of these instructions must be observed, and then everything will be fine.

foam in PMM

Since “bad detergent” is the main cause of the problem, which is most often encountered by users, we will check it competently. What should be done?

  1. After washing the dishes, when you notice increased foaming, remove the clean dishes from the baskets and gently, with a cloth, remove the foam from the bottom of the washing chamber.
  2. Check the detergent container, there may be something left. With the correct “situation”, it should remain just a little bit or nothing should remain at all.
  3. Put the full dose of new detergent in the container and, without loading the dishes, restart the dishwasher.
  4. Wait until the end of the program, and there according to the results. If the foam is still formed, then it’s not a means, but if there is no foam, then you yourself understand.

What was dirty dishes?

Some users note that increased foaming occurs from time to time. Why does it arise? Dishwashers Bosch, and any others wash well any dirt, so they are arranged. But the remnants of some food are able to react with the components of the detergent and in the process of decay to form a large amount of foam. So, for example, egg white, the remnants of milk porridge, the remnants of the dough. But here, be careful, huge caps of foam from products usually do not form, so if there is a lot of foam, the reason is different.

To understand if food debris has caused increased foaming, smell the debris. Foam of "food" origin smells bad, while the foam from the detergent has a distant chemical smell.

Incorrect settingsfoam in the dishwasher

If foam leaks from the dishwasher even though you are using a good product and washing dishes from under ordinary food, the problem may be with the incorrect settings of the dishwasher itself. Usually this happens when the owners of the machine for a long time used the powder, and then switched to tablets. In this case, the tablet begins to dissolve unevenly, including when rinsing, when the tool is no longer needed.

It turns out that the washing program is already ending, and the tablet continues to dissolve, and the foam draining from the dishes collects at the bottom of the washing chamber. What to do? You need to take and carefully read the instructions for the dishwasher. It probably describes how you can change the settings of your device so that it starts working correctly with tablets.

Some PMMs do not support the use of tablets and behave unpredictably with them.

Clogged strainer screen

Another common cause of increased foaming is blockage, but not a simple blockage, but a surface one. What does it mean? If you wash very oily dishes on which chunks of fat are hanging directly, there is a risk that this fat will clog the strainer screen located at the very bottom of the washing chamber. A grease film will cover the microholes of the wire mesh and water mixed with detergent will not pass well through the trash filter.

The result may be a cap of foam near the lower sprinkler. To remove the cause of the problem, rinse the bottom of the washing chamber. Water will leave normally, and the foam will not form in excess.

So, the main causes of the described problems were considered by us. If you have any questions, please ask them in our forum or write comments. We will be very pleased to respond to them. Good luck
