I purchased a Siemens WS10G240OE two years ago because my previous machine was also a Siemens. I really hoped that this “beauty” would be just as reliable, and it seems that I was not mistaken. It withstands all operational hardships: poor-quality water, power surges and bullying from my kids. For two years, not a single hint of a malfunction. The machine seems simple, but it has:

• a very good 5 kg drum, in which any clothes can be washed well;
• electronic control and beautiful backlit display;
• complete protection against leaks, which really protects;
• 15 washing programs, including the most excellent wool washing mode.

I only machine wash all my sweaters and none have shrunk yet, but it’s probably best not to machine wash pure wool items.

I also like that the machine is ergonomic, well designed and made from good components. If I were you, I would take a closer look at the Siemens WS10G240OE. It's not cheap, but you're paying for reliability.

I told my friends on the forum that my machine smells strongly of plastic, especially when you turn on the wash at 60 or 90 degrees. There are no reviews from specialists on my problem, everyone just laughs at me, saying that this cannot be, but I am supported by a friend who also smelled this terrible smell. The last time I realized that even things have a slight smell of phenols. I'm disappointed, I expected more from branded equipment.

It has two most serious drawbacks: a small drum and a rather poor spin cycle. Also, modern Siemens has introduced unnecessary water saving technology. Now rinsing takes place in several liters, which greatly affects the quality of the wash. Bad model!

I've been doing laundry on this machine for six months now. Just a month ago it started creaking a lot. Moreover, the sound intensifies at the moment when the drum stops after faster operation. I had to invite a service technician. It turns out that the hatch cuff on these cars is poorly fitted. As soon as the cuff moves a little, the drum begins to touch the edge of the elastic, which causes a creaking sound. The problem is fixed quickly, but the fact itself is important. You pay that kind of money for German reliability, but what you get is “butter and butter”!
