I had to fix it at my own expense. Fortunately, I have a close friend who is a washing machine repairman.

Over the weekend, the two of us took the car to the garage, where we disassembled it, sawed the tank (on the AEG it is non-separable), changed the bearings and screwed the halves of the tank together. We spent two days trying to save a washing machine that cost 900 bucks. I’m telling you this so that people don’t have any illusions about “reliable Italian technology.” She doesn't deserve more than two points.

To prevent the tank from falling apart, we lubricated its halves with sealant and then screwed them together; it holds water perfectly, and nothing else is needed.
