Error E33 in the Electrolux washing machine

Error E33 in the Electrolux washing machineError E33 may appear on the Electrolux typewriter at any stage of the wash. The technique will stop working, moreover, it will not react to external commands at all. To save the situation, you will first have to unravel the displayed cipher and eliminate the problem that has occurred in the machine. Detailed instructions and useful tips will be discussed below.

Why did the code get out?

Just because the codes do not appear. If the Electrolux generates an E33 error, then there are problems with the pressure switch in the machine. More precisely, the information supplied from the water level sensor does not correspond to the norm set by the system. The reasons for this deviation can be quite a lot.

  1. Lack of signal about the level of water collected. The sensor is unable to calibrate, and the system stops the cycle for safety reasons and to prevent leaks.
  2. The water level has exceeded the maximum limit. It happens rarely, but faces serious consequences. But more often it turns out to be a “false call”, since the machine reacts to a clogged tube or chamber of the pressure switch with a similar error.
  3. Mains voltage is unstable.
  4. A technical failure has occurred. Repair is not required, just turn the machine on and off several times.

Error E33 often indicates problems with a pressure switch or a water level sensor.

It is extremely rare, but it happens that the error E33 shows a leakage of current from the heater to the washing machine housing. But, as a rule, this trouble after rebooting the system produces other encrypted combinations. Therefore, it is better not to think about the worst, and first make sure that the pressure switch is working.

Check and test the pressure switch

The solution to the problem begins with the search for a pressure switch. To do this, remove the top cover of the machine and look for a small round plastic part with a wiring and a tube going to the drum. In the Electrolux cars, the level sensor is attached to the housing from above on the right side of the unit.

The pressure switch is a sensor very sensitive to external influences, so it is necessary to act extremely carefully.

It is easy to check and repair the level sensor if you follow the instructions below:

  • disconnect the machine from power and water supply;
  • we unscrew the bolts holding the water meter and release the wiring;
  • we get the pressure switch from the housing;
  • we clean the screws from the traces of the old sealant by means of which the sensor contacts are tightened or loosened;
  • we clean the tube and the pressure switch chamber.having problems with the pressure switch

You can try to adjust the device at home, but without a special device it will not be easy. The difficulty is that you need to make perfect contact closure using the “poke method”.

  • We turn the first bolt half a turn, return the pressure switch to its place in the washer and, turning on the machine, start the wash.
  • We evaluate the result. If previously the unit refused to collect enough water, and now the process is going better, then the tactics are correct. We stop the device, tighten the screw stronger and fix the result with a layer of sealant.
  • With the opposite effect, the tactics should be changed: we roll the bolt in the other direction and immediately 1-2 turns.
  • We process clamps with sealant.

Self-adjustment of the water meter to correct the situation with the collection of water is quite difficult, but real. The main thing is to choose the optimal operating parameters of the pressostat, providing a complete "reading" of the level and volume of water entering the tank. But remember the risk of subsequent leakage, and if experience and self-confidence are not enough - contact the professionals. But it’s better not to experiment with the sensor, but immediately replace the faulty level with a new one. Replacement will cost inexpensively and save you a waste of time and nerves.
