Decryption and reasons

Error E17 literally means - lack of water supply to the tank, as a result of which washing simply cannot start. On some models of washing machines, this problem corresponds to the F17 code, as the manufacturer intended.

On washing machines without a display, this error appears in the form of two burning indicators: a spin of 1000 rpm and rinse.

Deciphering this code alone is not enough; you need to establish the reasons that caused its appearance, there are several of them:

• breakage of the filling valve;
• malfunction of the pressostat;
• problems with the control module;
• broken wiring between the listed parts.

These elements of the washing machine should be checked in the order we listed them. The likelihood of a valve breaking when this code appears is the highest. However, before all planned repairs, it is worth checking whether there is water in the water supply system at all, or maybe the water supply tap is just turned off, which is located at the place where the inlet hose is connected to the water supply. Filling valve or pressure switch

After making sure that there is water in the water supply, start a step-by-step check of the parts. Unplug the machine, turn off the water supply and unscrew the inlet hose. Behind it you will see the filler filter mesh. It may be clogged with small particles, rinse it under running water and return it to its place. Then it is necessary to check the valve itself, for this:

• remove the top cover on the washer;
• take a multimeter and measure the resistance of the valve coil;
• simultaneously check the valve wire contacts and the wires themselves.

In the event of a breakdown, it is not practical to repair the part; To do this, disconnect all the tubes that are attached with clamps, as well as the wires.

When purchasing a new filling valve, buy new clamps for connecting pipes.

If the error E17 in the Bosch washing machine is caused by a non-filling valve, then without closing the machine cover, go on to check the water level sensor. It is located opposite the filler valve in the right corner. Inspect the tube that fits to it, check the contacts of the connected wires, and then the pressure switch itself.
