Error E15 in the dishwasher Neff

Error E15 NeffNeff dishwashers have a self-diagnosis system very similar to the Bosch dishwasher system and this is not at all surprising. Many parts of Neff, the software for electronics, are taken from Bosch dishwashers, so the two cars are very similar in many ways. Well, not today's article will be devoted to this, but to a completely different error E15 in the Neff dishwasher. We find out what kind of code it is, as a result of which it appeared. And how to remove it. Let's get started.

What does this code mean?

Frankly, this mistake is far from the most serious. You can fix it yourself, without resorting to the help of masters from the service center, but you will have to roll up your sleeves. Error E15 appears if the leakage protection sensor has tripped in the Neff dishwasher. By the way, a similar code with the same decoding is found in other dishwashers. If you're interested, check out the article. Error E15 in the Siemens dishwasher, you will find a lot in common with the Neff typewriter.

  1. This sensor is located in a pan and is a wire float that is connected to the contact.
  2. If water begins to flow into the sump, the float rises and closes the contact, which in the closed state sends an alarm signal to the control module.

The mechanism is simple, but it will work exactly until you remove water from the sump.

  1. The control module completely blocks the flow of water into the dishwasher, stops its operation and displays the blinking code E15 on the display.

Why does water get into the sump? One of the nozzles may leak out, or the water escapes into the pan from the washing chamber due to the lower seal being brought up. These reasons are quite real, but not in our case. Let’s explain why. When water enters the sump as a result of internal leakage, error E15 will most likely be preceded by some other system error. If we have only the E15 code, then with 98% certainty we can say that the clogging of the dust filter is to blame, which prevents the water from leaving and squeezes it through the rubber bands into the pan.

How to eliminate the cause of its appearance?

What to do in order to resume normal water supply and stop its flow into the pan? First of all, you need to clean the waste filter, because it is there that the most powerful and unpleasant clog occurs, which can paralyze the work of the entire Neff dishwasher. We do the following.

  1. Completely turn off the dishwasher, disconnect all the hoses and pull it to the middle of the room.Aquastop in the dishwasher Neff
  2. We lay as many rags as possible near the right wall of the body, which absorb well and put a bucket for washing the floor next to it.
  3. Strongly tilt the machine to the right side and wait until the water completely spills out of the pan.
  4. If there is a lot of water, it is advisable to substitute a basin or some more convenient container.
  5. After draining the water, we put the dishwasher in the heating battery or in another warm place, in order to dry its tray.
  6. At the same time, open the door of the machine and roll out the lower basket in order to remove it to the side.
  7. At the bottom of the washing chamber we find the trash filter, unscrew it and carefully clean it. We also clean the metal mesh, which is located next to the filter.
  8. We put the filter in place and after drying the machine we connect it and check. The error should disappear.

It may happen that clogging in the trash can only aggravate the problem with o-rings. Usually, when overpressure occurs due to clogging of the dishwasher system, the o-ring of the module into which the trash filter is inserted is the first to suffer. The O-ring can be reached by unscrewing the right side wall of the Neff dishwasher. It would be more convenient to do this through the pallet, but I really do not want to remove it because of such a trifle as a seal.

where to find the o-ring

A worn o-ring is clearly visible, it needs to be pulled out, and a new one should be put in its place. To clean the conscience, you can inspect the nozzles. It may well be that one of them burst and leaks. Maybe one of the clamps is weak. In general, once removed the side wall, inspect all the details that you can reach. This will not be superfluous, at the same time and get acquainted with the device of the dishwasher. If you cannot resolve the error yourself, call the wizard, it will help.

So, the error E15, which “pops up” on the Neff dishwasher, was analyzed by us more or less in detail. If you still have any questions, feel free to leave your comments. We will definitely get acquainted with them and give answers to all questions. Good luck
