Review of dishwashers for 4 sets

Sales data shows that dishwashers with 4 place settings are not very popular in Russia and the CIS countries. What is this connected with? Probably, after all, with their very limited functionality. Few people need a dishwasher in which it is impossible to put not only large, but even medium-sized dishes. Nevertheless, such machines have a small group of fans, and we have prepared today’s review for them.

Why choose this technique?

Indeed, why buy a dishwasher that can wash at most 12-16 plates and several cups. Why is it needed if you still have to wash pans and pots by hand, not to mention the baking sheets? The main reason lies in the size of such a dishwasher. Its body W x D x H is on average 550 x 460 x 450 mm, which means there will always be a place for this machine even in the smallest kitchen. “It’s better to have at least some dishwasher than not to have any.” Owners of miniature equipment are guided by this rule, although from our point of view, it is still unreasonable. Why?

1. With such a dishwasher, the housewife will not be able to save her hands. Some of the dishes will be washed by a machine, and the other part by the housewife hunched over the sink.
2. A machine for 4 people looks very unsightly, and built-in models are a rarity among miniature equipment.
3. The cost of a miniature dishwasher is comparable to the cost of a compact one dishwasher for 6 sets. It’s better to take a “home assistant” with a slightly larger capacity, it will be of more use.
4. A miniature machine is very difficult to find in a hardware store.This equipment is in catalogs, but it is not on the shelves; sellers can order it, but they will have to wait for some time.

Technically, such machines are far behind, and this is often reflected in the quality of dishwashing.

But the smallest dishwashers are very simple and unpretentious. They can be easily transported from place to place. You can take such a car with you to your dacha for the summer, although even there it will be of little use.

Bosch SKT 5002

The first dishwasher in our review was the Bosch SKT 5002. This is an extremely simple mechanically controlled appliance that washes dishes quite well, but consumes 15 liters of water. Modern full-size machines with a capacity of 14 sets of dishes can consume 12 liters for 1 cycle, but here 15 liters for 4 sets. The machine is quite noisy; on normal program it produces 53 dB, although standard models operate at 45-47 dB.

The programmer knows 5 washing modes. A typical daily wash program lasts 66 minutes. Bosch SKT 5002 is completely protected from water leakage, which is quite gratifying. There is a built-in water softening device. The average cost of a machine is $385.

Siemens SK 25200

One of the most expensive representatives of miniature dishwashers. Its price reaches $614. What can she do for this money? Yes, it can’t really do anything. It washes 4 sets of dishes and has a primitive mechanical control. The machine consumes about 12 liters of water per cycle, which is also a lot. Produces noise at 50 dB.

There are 5 washing programs and 2 temperature settings, in principle this is enough. Siemens SK 25200 is completely protected from all kinds of water leaks, has indicators that show the presence of salt and rinse aid in a timely manner. Zanussi ZDC 240

The more primitive, but much cheaper Zanussi ZDC 240 appealed to many fans of mini cars. It holds 4 sets of dishes, washes and dries satisfactorily. It has electronic controls, but is quite simple. There is no display. It consumes about 10 liters of water, but makes noise like a Belarusian tractor. According to the data contained in the instructions, the Zanussi ZDC 240 produces up to 59 dB.

The control module memory has 4 washing programs and 3 temperature modes. No leak protection, no indicators or sensors. The salt level must be checked manually, as well as the presence of rinse aid. For the Zanussi ZDC 240 you will have to pay $298. The case has dimensions W x D x H - 570 x 500 x 470 mm.

Korting KS 6210 TT

At a relatively low cost, this machine confidently surpasses similar models in terms of technical characteristics. The Korting KS 6210 TT can wash 4 sets of dishes at a time. It has electronic control, a good display, and protection from child intervention. It wastes up to 8 liters of water and produces noise around 55 dB. It has 6 programs, which is more than its competitors, although from our point of view the advantage is dubious.

The machine is equipped with a program start delay timer, and its body is partially protected against leakage. Korting KS 6210 TT is one of the few little ones that recognizes 3 in 1 tablets.

It’s a pity to waste a whole 3-in-1 tablet for 4 sets of dishes. If you cut it into 4 parts and use a quarter at a time, then the use of such tablets is justified.

The dishwasher has indicators that show whether there is salt in it, as well as rinse aid. It even has a cutlery tray.The dimensions of the baby W x D x H are 580 x 480 x 470 mm, not so small. The average cost is $333.

Elenberg DW-610

Our review today is completed by the budget mini dishwasher Elenberg DW-610. There is nothing particularly outstanding about this machine. Also washes 4 sets. Mechanical, without display and any bells and whistles. Consumes 10 liters of water, not a record, but still a lot. There are three automatic programs: normal, intensive, fast. There is an indicator of the presence of salt, but the user will have to think about the rinse aid himself. To be honest, a manufacturer who saved 1 LED does not inspire confidence.

The machine does not wash very well, you can give it a solid C grade. The case is not large and not very small W x D x H – 570 x 480 x 466 mm. Average cost: $236.

So, this time we will not avoid our own conclusions and will voice the obvious - you should not buy miniature cars, just take a superficial look at their technical characteristics. The prices of these machines are almost twice as high, but they are of no use.
