The duration of the program is on average from 0:50 hours, but there may be variations especially for Maxx 5 type machines. Water temperature 40-600C. In the picture under the number “1” there is a dress drawn, and next to it there is a butterfly. It indicates the lightness of the fabric from which this type of clothing is made. You can easily understand that we are talking about various thin fabrics, primarily silk. Silk clothes are washed just fine in this mode. Time spent on program implementation is 0:30 hours, washing is carried out in water heated to 300WITH.
The picture under the number “2” eloquently tells us that underneath it lies a washing mode that imitates hand washing and is suitable for woolen clothes. We are definitely talking about wool, since the picture on the left shows a skein of woolen threads.
Woolen items are essentially soaked in a drum in warm water (30 degrees) for 40 minutes, while the drum rotates very slowly and stops often, ensuring a gentle wash.
The third part of the picture shows pants. This icon hides the denim washing program.Jeans can be washed in medium intensity mode at a temperature of 40-600C for 40 minutes. In some models, the washing time increases to 1:20 hours. The following group of icons indicates three popular washing modes:
- shirts/blouses;
- sportswear;
- small child's clothes.
Our shirts/blouses are indicated by the number “1” in the picture above. This icon is difficult to confuse with anything, since we are talking about the image of a shirt. Program execution time 0:40 – 1:20 h, water temperature 40-600C. The number two indicates an image of a T-shirt with a number; it is clear that we are talking about a special mode for washing sportswear. Washing parameters: 1:20 h, temperature 600C, water consumption per 2.5 kg – 40 l.
Program and subroutine icons
Icons on a Bosch washing machine can indicate general washing programs and subprograms. They are also very popular among users, so it is imperative to decrypt them. The image we see below contains the first group of such icons, let's talk about them.
The first icon, counting from left to right, is well known and means draining the water from the tank. You can use the drain if the washing program was not completed to the end or it had to be stopped forcibly. Under the number two there is an icon, the decoding of which is easy - this is rinsing. If the washing program has been completed, but there are doubts that the detergent has been thoroughly rinsed out of the clothes, you can turn on a separate rinse outside the main program.
At first glance, the sign numbered “3” looks intricate – some kind of spiral! But if you look closely and use logic, you can easily guess the spin mode of the laundry in this spiral.The laundry spin starts in cases where, for example, you washed clothes by hand and used the machine as a centrifuge. Or if the main washing mode did not wring out the clothes properly the first time. We have depicted two more icons that are often found on the control panel of a Bosch washing machine in the picture below.
The figure shows two dials. In picture “1” the dial is full, it indicates a vigorous wash, which just lasts 1 hour. The second dial is only a quarter full, which tells us that this is a super fast wash program - lasting 15 minutes.
When choosing a vigorous or super fast wash, the user can manually set the water temperature and spin speed of the laundry.
Signs of special functions
By special functions we mean certain capabilities that are characteristic only of certain models of Bosch washing machines. There are also fairly concise notations for such functions. Washing machine series Maxx 5 has 4 special features (they are almost the same for all Maxx):
- heavily soiled clothes - allows you to wash things using particularly intensive methods;
- pre-wash – allows you to pre-wash items so that they can be washed better during the main wash;
- easy ironing – this function allows you to wash items at low speeds, leaving the laundry less wrinkled and a little more damp;
- additional rinse – this function allows you to automatically start a second rinse when implementing any washing program.
