The washing machine does not switch the washing modes

Very often, a technique crashes when users violate its operating conditions, or in the case of force majeure. The machine does not switch the mode during the washing process - this is one of such problems. What could be the cause and how to fix it yourself, let's answer this question.

Reasons for the malfunction

Before disassembling the washing machine for troubleshooting, try to determine its cause. To do this, you need to carefully monitor how the machine behaves, perhaps you are missing something. First of all, you need to try to start the machine in different modes, if nothing changes and during washing the machine does not switch to rinse and spin, then this is a serious matter.

Also start the machine separately in rinse and spin. If the machine performs this function, then it is safe to exclude clogging of the drainage system and breakdown of the pump. The reasons that the machine does not switch modes may be:

The heating element in washing machines is located in the lower part under the tank, but in some models at the back, in some - at the front. So, for example, in washers Bosch LG Samsung is located in the front, while in the Virpul and Indesit cars it is in the back. Undoubtedly, disassembling the front of the machine is much more difficult than removing the back cover. The one who will do this for the first time will have to tinker a long time. If you doubt the location of the heater in your typewriter, first unscrew the back wall, make sure it is not there, and only then disassemble the front part.

Note! In washing machines with a vertical type of loading, you need to remove the side wall to get to the heating element.

To get to the heating element located behind the front of the case, you need:

1. remove the bottom panel;
2. remove the upper case cover;
3. pull out the powder tray;
4. remove the control panel;
5. remove the hatch cuff;
6. remove the front of the case by unscrewing the screws that hold it around the perimeter.

After the back or front cover of the case is removed, you will see a Ten, or rather its back with wires. Using an ohmmeter, you can check it for performance. The ohmmeter probes are applied to the terminals and, if the resistance is infinite, then the heater burned out, if not, then check the wires separately, strip the terminals. To pull out a faulty ten, you need to:

• loosen the bolt located in the center of the heater base;
• disconnect the wires;
• With loosening movements, pull the heater onto itself.

Installing a ten should not cause problems. A temperature sensor is installed in the new heater, then the heater is inserted into the seat and fixed to the bolt with nut, then the wires are connected. Be careful not to confuse their location. The replacement process is completed, it remains to assemble the machine body.

How to replace the programmer and control unit

When the machine erases for a long time, but the water heats up at the same time, the cause of the breakdown may be a malfunction in the control module.Such an error during the execution of the washing mode may always occur, or may from time to time. This malfunction needs to be fixed right away, you shouldn’t delay it for a long time, since the “brain” of the washing machine can be repaired, otherwise the part will have to be completely changed.

Important! Repair of the control module is possible when a fuse or triac is blown on the board. If most of the important elements burned out, then a new board will cost less than repairing an old one.

Replacing the control module will not be particularly difficult; diagnostics of the module's operability can cause difficulties. In most washing machines, the control module is mounted on the inside of the control panel. To replace it, you need:

• remove the top cover of the washing machine;
• pull out the powder receptacle;
• remove the control panel;
• unscrew the module;
• disconnect the wires from the control module, after photographing their correct connection;
• connect a new control module.

Important! When buying a new module, be careful, purchase only the module that is already programmed, otherwise you will have to do it yourself, which is not easy.
