Reviews of magnetic ball for washing machines

reviews of magnetic ballsBefore you buy an unknown product of dubious purpose, you should study it thoroughly. An unusual means of protecting a washing machine in the form of magnetic balls is causing a storm of emotions among consumers. Reviews will tell you best what a magnetic ball is for a washing machine. We collected the opinions of real people about balls from different manufacturers, and this is what we came up with.

Magnetic ball Eco Life

Alexandra2013

I quite spontaneously bought an Eco Life magnetic ball a few years ago, probably people have become smarter now. I hoped that it would really have an effect, because it is not cheap. I decided to check the operation of the ball not on the washing machine, but on the kettle. I heated the water in it to about 60 degrees and put it in a magnetic ball, leaving it in the kettle for about 6 hours. The result was zero, the scale remained as it was.

As for washing with a ball in the machine, nothing special happened either. Hard terry towels have not become softer. It also didn’t work out to save powder with a ball, since the stains don’t come off. I even put this “miracle remedy” in the dishwasher, but it was of no use, everything just turned white from the inside. Conclusion: with the money spent, you could buy a children's construction set for the benefit of the cause.

Eco life ballI bought the ball back in 2012 and use it all the time. During its operation, it did not change in appearance and did not lose its properties, which means that the manufacturer did not deceive about the shelf life of 10 years. The main purpose of the ball is to soften water, protecting the heating element from scale. My impressions are:

  • things don't get softer;
  • better not to wash;
  • there is no savings in powder when washing with a ball;
  • but it gets rid of scale.

The fact is that my washing machine lasted a little over 11 years and broke down. But I managed to wash things with the ball in the old machine for about 1.5 months. After the technician opened the washing machine, the heater pleasantly surprised me with its cleanliness. I didn’t even expect this, considering that I rarely cleaned the machine and didn’t use Calgon or similar products.

I noticed that gray particles often accumulated in the sealing rubber, and I washed the same particles out of the drain filter.

In general, I'm happy with the ball. I recommended it to all my friends and gave it to my relatives. But after buying a new washing machine, due to the breakdown of the bearings and drum in the old machine, I very much doubted its usefulness. The fact is that the new washing machine works very quietly and in it I noticed the sound of the ball hitting the drum. I asked the technical support specialist if this affects the car? It turned out that it is better not to use such “things”. Since then, I have stopped washing with a magnetic ball, because not only the heating element is important, but also other parts, the replacement of which will be very expensive.

I bought a magnetic ball through a joint purchase on the Internet. The purpose of the purchase is to protect the new washing machine. I thought that this method was cheaper than permanent use of Calgon. Does the ball work? Yes it works, but I can’t say how effective it is. As for scale, it’s difficult to check. But the towels, which were like sandpaper, became very soft. Apparently the water becomes soft, washing goes better. In addition, the ball allows you to save a little on powder.

I bought an Eco Life magnetic ball a long time ago, I call it a miracle ball for the following reasons:

  • protects the washing machine, preventing the appearance of scale;
  • saves washing powder, now I use less of it;
  • no need to use fabric softener;
  • long service life, more than 5 years;
  • Can be used in dishwashers.

I couldn’t check the effectiveness of the fight against scale because the washing machine broke down before I bought it. However, after washing with the same ball, my friend had gray pieces coming out through the drain. I liked the ball, the only thing that bothers me is the strange, frivolous packaging. The ball was made in Austria, is expensive, and the packaging is not expensive. There is nothing more to complain about regarding the ball.

Balls "White cat"

reviews of balls White CatAbout three years ago, a representative of the White Cat company appeared in my city, producing home cleaning products without harmful chemicals. The first thing that was advertised to me were magnetic laundry balls. The promises were fascinating:

  • effective washing;
  • savings on powder and conditioner;
  • better rinsing of things;
  • washing in soft water at a lower temperature, which saves energy.

The promises took over, I bought a package of these balls and used them with every wash for almost 3 years, until the machine burned out. My husband disassembled the equipment himself, so we saw the heating element with our own eyes. There were no salt deposits on it, it was all covered with sticky dirt and detergents. Conclusion: although the scale balls helped, the heating element burned out. In addition, they have one more disadvantage of hiding in the duvet cover. The effect of the balls is so small that the money was wasted.

If you want to protect your equipment, better think about the composition of the powder, include additional rinsing more often and carry out regular cleaning with citric acid.

As you can see, opinions are divided. Decide for yourself who you believe more.You can check it experimentally if you don’t mind the money. Good luck!
