Where to put powder in a Samsung washing machine

where to put powder in a Samsung washing machineHousehold appliances have become an integral part of our daily lives. It’s not surprising, because vacuum cleaners, dishwashers, microwave ovens and many other appliances make our life much easier. Saving time and freedom from routine daily activities could not help but fall in love with a person.

But at the same time, contemporaries, before using technology in everyday life, need to study all the features and wisdom of working with it. Sometimes the owner is simply afraid of harming the device if she handles it incorrectly. The Samsung automatic washing machine was no exception. Is it worth pouring the powder into the tray compartment, or maybe it would be more effective to directly pour it into the drum? Which option is more economical for washing clothes? How to figure out which section to fill with powder and which with conditioner?

Identifying the powder receptacle compartments

It is possible to resolve the issues that have arisen if you try to figure out the cells for loading detergents. A Samsung washing machine is usually equipped with three powder receptacle sections. Each has a specific graphic designation for identification. Let's look at them in more detail:

  1. The department for detergents provided for the preliminary washing program is designated by the symbols A or I. Although, if such a function is not programmed in a particular SMA model, then the cell is also not provided.
  2. For the main wash program, fill compartment B or II with detergent. The designation may vary depending on the model.
  3. And the third compartment is provided for conditioner or rinse aid. It can be indicated by a symbol in the form of an asterisk or a flower.
    Each tray compartment is marked with a symbol

Over time, the symbols sometimes fade and become difficult to distinguish between the washing machine. Don’t worry, there is an option to determine the purpose of the cells by their sizes:

  • the most voluminous compartment requires filling with detergent for the main wash;
  • a medium-sized section is needed for gel or powder that will participate in the preliminary program;
  • Pour the liquid intended for rinsing into the last small cell.

pour the powder into the largest compartment

In the event that it was not possible to determine the dimensions of the compartments “by eye,” there is another simple way. Start the washing machine on any program that includes washing. Keep track of which compartment the water goes into first. This cell is intended for the main wash.

Where to pour and pour what?

At first glance, such a simple and insignificant question. But remember, if you pour detergents into unintended dispenser cells, you will not be pleased with the washing result. It’s a waste of time and money, and you’ll also need to wash the laundry again. So, before you start the washing process:

  • fill the compartment marked with the symbols A or I with the detergent intended for the pre-programme;
  • substance for the main washing process - in compartment B/ll;
  • and lastly, pour fabric softener or fabric softener into the smallest container. As indicated above, indicated by an asterisk or flower.

The laundry detergent can be added both before the machine starts operating and during the process. The main condition is to fill the cell before the last rinse of the laundry.

You may want to use additional detergents to improve the quality of your wash. Bleach, stain remover or powder enhancer is poured into compartment B/ll, intended for the main program. Anti-scale protective compounds are poured into the same cell. It is important to remember that the washing result can be disastrous if you fill the rinse compartment with bleach or stain remover.

What if you pour powder inside the drum?

There are certain laundry detergents that go directly into the drum. Capsules filled with washing powder or gel. But some housewives, in order to save money, pour regular detergent compositions directly into the Samsung washing machine, bypassing the dispenser cells. We will try to find out how effective this method is. This option has a lot of advantages.

  1. Economical in terms of the detergent used. You can add the powder as you wish.
  2. Efficiency when rinsing. Firstly, the powder is washed off directly in the washing drum. Secondly, particles of detergent lingering in the dispenser compartment stick together and then attach to the laundry. In our case, there is no need to be afraid of this.
  3. If the compartment is broken, then you can use this option for adding powder.
  4. Some capsules, designed to be loaded directly into the drum, combine several detergents. This, of course, simplifies the washing process.

Along with a certain list of advantages of adding powder to the tank, there are also some disadvantages. They will have to be taken into account, since the user cannot change anything.

  1. The water temperature should be above 40C. Otherwise, the detergent will not dissolve and the washing performance will be significantly worse.Usually, before entering the drum, the powder is mixed with liquid in the compartment.
  2. It is advisable to additionally purchase specially designed containers for powder. Otherwise, during preliminary pumping out of the liquid, most of the product will simply be washed away.
  3. We have already discussed the case of a compartment failure. And, while powder can still be poured in directly, conditioner or rinse aid will not work. These liquids must be added immediately before rinsing.
  4. Do not pour aggressive detergents directly onto the laundry into the drum. Bleach or stain remover that has not yet been dissolved can ruin the color and quality of the fabric.
  5. If you want to use the preliminary program, you can only add powder through the powder receptacle compartment.

As you can see, there are both positive and negative aspects to adding detergent directly to the drum. But it cannot be said that any of them prohibit us from using this option. Therefore, when choosing a method, be guided by our recommendations. And let household appliances always be your assistant.
