Error codes for washing machines Vestel

errors on the Westell washing machineOver time, the parts of the washing machine wear out and break. The user learns about a malfunction of one or another machine node by various symptoms, including the code on the display. Knowing the error code, you can reduce the time to troubleshoot and make it easier for yourself to fix it. Therefore, in this article we decided to talk about the error codes of the Vestel washing machine.

Error codes on different machines

In most cases, the breakdown occurs on old typewriters of the Turkish brand Westell, which are not equipped with a display. However, they also have a built-in self-diagnosis system in the form of indicators on the control panel. Let us present the correspondence of codes on washing machines without a display with alphanumeric codes.

  • Code E01 corresponds to the flashing first and second indicators.

    Note! On most washers, the first 1 indicator is a start / pause, 2 indicator is a rinse delay, 3 indicator is a light ironing, 4 is an additional rinse.

Decoding Codes

Each of the above errors most often indicates a malfunction of some part. Let’s take a closer look at what these errors mean.

  • Error E01 informs the user that the drum door is not tightly closed in the machine.
  • Error E02 indicates a weak pressure of water into the washing machine, from which water does not reach the desired minimum.
  • Error E03 is associated with a pump that is either clogged or malfunctioning.
  • Error E04 indicates that the tank is full of water, which could happen due to a breakdown of the bay valve, pressure switch or electronic module.
  • Error E05 is a result of a breakdown of the temperature sensor or heating element.
  • Error E06 informs about a malfunction of the electric motor.
  • Error E07 is associated with a breakdown of the electronic module of the washing machine.
  • Error E08 indicates a power failure.
  • Error E09 informs that the mains voltage is not normal.

    Note! The mains voltage must not go beyond 160-260 V.

Remedy

If any error occurs, do not panic and immediately call the master. Some problems can be fixed by yourself. Here's what you can do in one case or another.

If error E01 appears, then try to press down the hatch door with your foot and start washing again. If the washing machine did not start, then you need to replace the hatch lock device, do this according to the instructions in the article Repair of washing machines Westell you can do it yourself.

You can independently solve the problem with poor water intake with error E02. To do this, first check whether the water supply tap is closed. Then you need to check the filler valve mesh for clogging, you need to:

  • disconnect the machine from the network;
  • unscrew the water supply hose;
  • unscrew strainer and rinse in water.

If the problem lies in the malfunction of the pressure switch, then in this case you need to open the top cover of the machine body and find the water level sensor. Then check the sensor contacts, the connection to the pressure tube and the sensor itself. If necessary, replace the sensor with a similar one.

Correct error E03 by cleaning the drain filter, which is located at the bottom of the washing machine. It is twisted counterclockwise and washed under running water from debris and dirt. If you don’t hear the pump working while draining, and the water remains in the drum, you need to change the pump.It changes through the bottom of the washing machine, the work is not difficult.

The overflow of the washing machine with water (E04) is primarily associated with the water supply valve.

Note! The filling valve is one of the “sores” of the Turkish Vestel cars.

Replace the valve will be able to any owner who is well versed in a screwdriver and a multimeter. The valve is located immediately behind the rear wall, at the point where the water inlet hose is connected. Before work, be sure to close the water tap.

As for the heating element, in Westell washing machines it is located at the rear. Therefore, in case of replacement, it is enough to open the service hatch and the heater in front of you. TEN get out of a seat, having unscrewed a fixing bolt and having disconnected wires. When installing a new heater, do not use excessive force when tightening the nut; damage may be caused.

The electric motor of the washing machine breaks extremely rarely. Mostly carbon brushes wear out, which, with a certain dexterity, can be replaced independently. However, most often such a problem is addressed to the master. If the motor winding burns out, then repair is completely impractical. The engine in this case is changed.

Problems associated with electrical and electronics (E07, E08, E09), we initially recommend entrusting to a professional. Without dealing with this, you can further harm the washing machine. Be attentive to your "home assistant", a successful repair!
