This is not very convenient, because in order to find out the decoding of the error code that popped up on the display of his Gorenie eraser, he first needs to know which group of models it belongs to, then find the decryption of errors of this group, and only then it will be possible to get reliable information about a specific error. We decided to simplify your task by collecting all the necessary information in one article.

Burning with control system PG1-PG5

In this paragraph, we will alternately present the error codes of the Gorenie washing machines, giving them first a brief, and then an expanded decryption. Here we give some reasons for the occurrence of these errors.

F1. This code tells us that the circuit has broken or a short circuit has occurred in the temperature sensor circuit. This means that either the wiring supplying the thermal sensor and connecting it to the electronic module and the heater was cut off, or the contacts were burnt.

Usually, this error appears immediately after the washing machine draws water, just before washing.

F2. The control module does not receive a signal to close the sunroof. This means that the control signal from the control unit of the sunroof does not come to the control module of the Gorenie washing machine, which means that the module gives an error and stops the washing program. In the vast majority of cases, the reason for this is a faulty UBL, but there may be an open circuit between the UBL and the control module.

F3 On two attempts, the required minimum of water was not collected. This means that the washing machine tried to draw a minimum of water into the tank within 4 minutes and it failed. Then she tried again, spending another 4 minutes, then the control module stopped trying and issued the code F3. Most often, the reasons for this are:

  • low pressure in the water supply (its absence);
  • problems with the filling valve (blockage, breakdown);
  • in much more rare cases, a pressure switch.

F4. This error indicates a disconnection between the Hall sensor and the control module of the Gorenje washing machine. In this case, either the tachometer simply burned out, or its contacts burned out, or there was a break in the wiring. Also, a problem with the electronic module, which cannot recognize the signal from the Hall sensor, is not excluded. The error occurs 3 minutes after the signal from the tachometer disappears. After that, the machine stops executing the washing program, draws cold water into the tank, and then drains it, then issues the F4 code. In models of machines with an inverter motor, approximately the same thing happens with an inverter.

F5. The failure of the semiconductor element (triac), which controls the motor. In this case, due to the corresponding semiconductor element, the control board cannot regulate the operation of the motor. The reasons for this may be a short circuit or excessive heating of the engine. The same error pops up on models with an inverter motor.

F6 This error appears if the water in the tank heats up too slowly or does not heat up at all. Upon activation of the heating element, the control module, using a temperature sensor, monitors the increase in water temperature and checks against the parameters set by the program. If the indicators diverge by more than 150C, the washing machine generates an error F6 after executing the washing program. A feature of this error is that the washing machine in any case finishes washing, rinsing and spinning, only then it will issue the indicated code. Possible reasons:

  • faulty temperature sensor;
  • burned out heating element;
  • defective electronic module.

F7 This code will appear if the washing machine cannot pump out the waste water and its level does not decrease below the “minimum” mark.The water level in the tank may not decrease at all, or decrease very slowly. Unlike other brands of cars, Gorenie repeats the draining procedure, if this does not give effect, error F7 flies out. The causes of the F7 error can be considered:

  • malfunction or severe blockage of the pump;
  • clogged trash filter;
  • power failure of the drain pump;
  • the pressure switch is out of order;
  • the control module has broken.

F8 This error means a lower speed of rotation of the drum than that which is included in the spin program. In other words, if the module detects that the drum rotates at a speed below 100 rpm during spinning, F8 will pop up. Under normal conditions, the machine does not give such an error, it can only be detected by performing a service test. Why does this error occur? The motor burned out, the electronic module failed, the inverter (for certain models of machines) broke down, the drive belt loosened.

F9 This error occurs in Gorenie washing machines equipped with an Aqua Stop system and means that water has got into the washing tray. The fact is that such machines have a special pan equipped with a leak detection sensor. If the tank of the car Burning or the pipe starts to flow, water will inevitably fall into the pan, the leakage sensor will work and the washing machine will stop working.

At the same time, the Aqua Stop system turns off the operation of the heating element and drains the water from the tank of the machine urgently.

F1. We will not describe this error code, since this has already been done as part of the previous paragraph. Its decryption is exactly the same.

F2. Within 8 minutes, the washing machine was not able to draw a minimum amount of water into the tank. During the specified time, the Gorenie washing machine makes two attempts to draw water, if it fails, the code F2 appears. There can be many reasons for this problem:

  • clogged filter mesh installed in front of the bulk valve;
  • there is no water in the water supply;
  • water pressure is too low;
  • the filling valve does not work;
  • the pressure switch is out of order.

F31. There is no communication between the tachometer and the control module. If the connection between the Hall sensor and the electronic module is interrupted, the system urgently stops the motor. Within 4 minutes, the module tries to restart the motor twice and if the connection is not established, code F31 is issued. This error can be caused by a faulty Hall sensor, electrical communications suitable for it, or the control module itself.

F32 Defective electronic engine controller. On some models of Gorenie washing machines, a special electronic unit is installed that adjusts the engine; if it burns out, the indicated error will appear.

F4. The temperature sensor detected a discrepancy between the actual temperature of the water in the tank and the value entered in the program. If the heater does not heat the water in the tank to the required temperature for the specified time, then at the end of the washing program, code F4 is displayed. Permissible error + -150C. Reasons: heating element or control module.

F41. The temperature sensor detected a strong overheating of the water in the tank. In this case, the heater heats the water in the tank to the maximum temperature, even if this is not due to the washing program. In order to avoid overheating and damage to the heater, the system urgently disables it, and error F41 is displayed. The reason is most likely in the semiconductor element (relay) of the control module.

Some associate this code with a malfunction of the temperature sensor. This approach is often incorrect, since it is the temperature sensor in this case that can detect overheating, but in very rare cases the fault lies with the temperature sensor.

F43. TEN heats up too quickly.In this case, the system urgently stops the operation of the washing program and, accordingly, the operation of the heater in order to prevent the failure of this part and a possible fire. This can happen if the electronic module activated the heating element when there is too little water in the tank or there is none at all. Reasons: the pressure switch is faulty, the tank is leaking, the control module is broken.

F5. A similar error can be seen if the Gorenie washing machine was not able to completely drain the water from the tank in 2 attempts within 4 minutes. After that, the user can press the program start button and the machine will try to drain the water again, if this attempt is also unsuccessful, the washing machine will hang completely. What could happen?

  1. Out of order, clogged pump.
  2. Disrupted pump power.
  3. The trash filter, drain pipe or hose is clogged up badly.
  4. The pressure switch tube is clogged or it simply burned out. It is also possible that the wiring to the water level sensor or the corresponding contacts is damaged.
  5. In rare cases, the electronic controller is to blame.

F61 When spinning, the drum rotates too slowly. To clarify the error decoding, it must be said that before the module displays the F61 code, it must determine the discrepancy between the drum rotation speed by at least 100 revolutions per minute, and for this you need to run the service test. In normal operation of the washing machine, this error will not appear. Reasons: engine, control module is faulty, drive belt is weak.

F63 The engine control electronics cannot communicate with the control module. The code appears immediately after a malfunction. Reasons: malfunction of the electronic unit, its electrical communications or control module.

Troubleshooting options

  1. Thermal sensor. Temperature sensor for washing machines Gorenie is located directly in the housing of the heating element between its left contact and the central bolt. To check it, you need to configure the multimeter to test the resistance, disconnect the wires and take measurements. A burned-out sensor cannot be repaired, it must be changed. The temperature sensor wiring is also checked.

  3. Filling valve. A fill valve controls the flow of water into the washing machine. If it fails, the machine either cannot draw water, or vice versa, cannot block it. The filling valve can be reached by removing the top cover of the CM, but first you need to clean its filter. The filter is located at the base of the SM housing, in the place where the inlet hose is connected, it is pulled out with ordinary pliers and washed with a stream of water. You can check the filling valve itself with a multimeter.
  4. Water level sensor. It’s also easy to get to the pressostat of the Gorenie washing machine. It is located at the top of the rear wall of the machine, directly under the top cover. Repair of the pressostat should start with cleaning its tubes, then you can check its resistance with a multimeter. Only then are the electrical communications suitable for this part checked.
