How to use a Beko washing machine

How to use a Beko washing machineIt is not difficult to deal with the main control of a new washing machine purchased instead of an old machine: most models work according to a standard scheme. But many modern home helpers have additional features, unique functions and modes, to learn about the features of which you can only factory recommendations. Among them are some units of the BEKO brand. In order not to rummage through the papers and not try to understand the official language, we offer you to quickly learn how to use the Beco machine.

We describe the main modes

The first question that concerns all housewives concerns the available modes. Knowing what preset programs are in the arsenal of the machine, it is easier to plan the washing and not to spoil the clothes at high temperature or excessive spin. Familiarity with the main buttons on the dashboard will help to avoid errors.

  1. "40`40 °". This mode offers to reduce the washing time by half and get clean linen not in 80, but in 40 minutes. Speed is achieved due to the enhanced speed and maintaining the temperature at 40 degrees throughout the cycle.

Important! The temperature range and the spin force may vary on different VEKO models, so it will not hurt to familiarize yourself with the attached instructions.

  1. "Delicate wash". It features smooth rotations, minimal spin, plentiful water intake and low temperature, which allows you to protect easily deteriorating knitwear and viscose from washing away color and erasing.
  2. "Baby clothes". The name speaks for itself: this program is designed to wash things for children. Also its use is recommended for allergy sufferers. The secret is in several rinse cycles.
  3. "Dark fabrics." To preserve the saturated black color, it is proposed to choose a mode with a large volume of water and low spin intensity. Another recommendation is to use liquid detergents for dark things.
  4. "Handwash". For especially delicate fabrics, such as silk and cashmere, it is better to choose a manual mode with a reduced set of water. Thanks to the floor-filled tank, there is no increased absorption, deformation and stretching.
  5. "Wool". For woolen clothing, the corresponding button is selected, which allows you to gently clean the fabric without the formation of spools.
  6. "Pooh." Washing machines with a capacity of 9 kg or more offer special care for items with down and feather filling. A high-quality cleansing is achieved with the removal of feather ticks and the remnants of their vital functions.
  7. "Shirts." The shirt depicted on the panel is a program with washing problem areas without damaging the fabric and strong creasing. The perfect balance is maintained: minimum spin and low temperature within 30-40 °.
  8. "Fitness". Provides a complete cleansing of sports items made from cotton and synthetics. Washing takes place at 40 ° for an hour.
  9. "Eco 20 ° C." Designed for cotton fabrics with minimal pollution. It removes spots faster and saves up to 80% of energy consumption in comparison with the standard "Cotton" mode. Enhances the cleaning effect of the gel powder.

Most models from VEKO also have a self-cleaning program. It lasts about two hours, during which the complex processing of the drum, hoses, trash filter and dispensary takes place. The cycle runs without laundry and detergents, and a high degree of purification is caused by heating water to 70 °.

The fastest programs

Most of the main programs mentioned have a serious drawback - duration from an hour to three hours. Not always a long cycle justifies the time spent, water and energy consumption, so Beco machines offer express washing. The following modes will take a minimum of time:

  • "Mini". Cotton fabrics with modest stains can be washed in 39 minutes.The standard temperature is fixed at 30 degrees, but you can change the mark within the scale from 0 to 90. The full drum is loaded easily.
  • "Mini 14`". To run the cycle in 14 minutes, you will have to limit the load to 2 kg and the temperature to 30 degrees.
  • “Mix 40 ° С”. The type of fabric is not important here, since a universal range is set with an average spin and a temperature of 40 degrees.

Some BEKO models have a button on the dashboard to start a 17-minute refreshing wash. It is designed for lightly soiled items and is necessary to give freshness, additional rinse or eliminate unpleasant odors for stale clothes. It is considered universal and suitable for all types of fabric.

Functional set

To use the washing machine to the limit of its capabilities, it is better to get acquainted with the proposed functionality in addition to the modes. The presence of special options will significantly facilitate and protect the washing process, which is good news for consumers. So, VECO compares favorably with several “chips”:

  • removal of pile and wool, for which a special mode is provided with an increased number of cycles and rinses;
  • locking the panel from children and accidental pressing;
  • aqua-fusion or economical consumption of detergent with uniform use of powder throughout the entire washing process;
  • aquavave, also known as imbalance control, designed to evenly distribute laundry along the walls of the tank without lumps and ligaments;
  • auto-restart of the started cycle after a power surge or a power outage in the house;
  • a sensor that monitors the water level in the tank to prevent overflow;
  • half load, allowing you to wash a small amount of laundry faster and more economically.

Beco control panel

Beko washing machines are also attracted by the support of Silent Tech technology. The whole secret is in the special design of the housing walls, which reduce vibration and noise that occur during operation of the unit. Additional “pluses” follow from this: reduced energy costs and increased machine service life due to smoothness and stability.

Machine equipment

Using Beco technology has become even more convenient due to several improvements. Among the first innovations is the LSD-display, which allows you to monitor the temperature, spin speed, the remaining time and many other indicators. The extended hatch volume, combined with the overall compactness of the machine, makes washing more comfortable. For example, at a depth of 35 cm, it is assumed to load 5 kg of linen, and at 45 cm - up to 7 kg. The powder collector was also improved with a special compartment for pouring liquid detergents.

It should be noted and Hi-Tech heating elements with a revolutionary nickel coating. Compared with the old-style heaters, it has many advantages. These include an extended service life, a smooth surface, accelerated heating, resistance to scale and corrosion.

Self Diagnostic Database

Properly and safely operate the VEKO washer helps self-diagnosis. The system regularly scans the device for possible problems and reports a malfunction through a digital display. The owner can only decrypt the error code and fix the breakdown. The database is represented by a number of combinations.

  • H1 - The temperature sensor is damaged. Repair involves testing a thermistor with a multimeter with resistance measurement.
  • H2 - Fixing problems with the electric heater. Most likely, the operation of the heater is prevented by scale or voltage drops.
  • H3 - Problems with the thermistor or a malfunction in the control system. It is accompanied by the excess of the set temperature and the flashing of the first two bulbs.
  • H4 - Malfunctions with water pressure. The triac of the filler valve is probably “buggy” or the wiring is damaged.
  • H5 - Drain is difficult. If there is a blockage - we clean the pump, if there are defects - we replace the pump.
  • H6 - The closure of one of the triacs.There are several options for failure: burnout of the switch due to current leakage, damage to the wiring of the unit, malfunctions with the board or electric motor.
  • H7 - Water intake error. The reasons may be a malfunctioning pressure switch, a broken UBL, a closed water supply tap or a burned-down control module.
  • H11 - Stopped motor operation. A non-functioning tachogenerator, worn bearings, brushes, worn-out wiring or a blown-out triac lead to a stop.

The signal supplied by the system will narrow the circle of search for a trouble that has happened. The main thing is to correctly decrypt the code displayed on the display and fix the problem as soon as possible.

Set up the machine before washing

Having thoroughly acquainted with the capabilities and functionality of the machine, you can begin to use it. To begin with, it is recommended to configure the machine. This is done in accordance with the factory instructions for the following algorithm:

  • if the machine is new, start the "empty" cycle to rinse the drum;
  • we study labels on dirty clothes and determine the right washing parameters;
  • select the appropriate mode with the selector;
  • with another switch, we vary the temperature and cycle time.

Next, we sort things, check the pockets, put the powder in the tray and click on “Start”. Do not forget that it is important to control the washing process and not to overload your “home assistant” with linen.
