How to connect a desktop dishwasher
Connecting any dishwasher is a simple matter, the main thing is to carefully read the instructions and do everything slowly. It’s a little inconvenient to connect floor-standing cars due to the fact that you need to climb the back wall of the case and pick it there, connecting the hoses to the water supply and sewage. Connecting a desktop dishwasher, in this sense, is a lot easier. Let's see how this is done.
What will be required for installation?
The composition of the components necessary for installing a dishwasher will depend on the degree of preparedness of communications in the kitchen. If you already had a dishwasher before, a tee crane and a siphon with a drain hose connection are connected, then you will need a minimum of accessories. If communications are not prepared, then you will need to purchase:
- фильтр inch thread-through filter;
- tee crane for the same thread;
- siphon with tap (fitting);
- any reeling;
- a pair of clamps.
Optionally, you can buy and install a fine filter, but in the future it will have to be changed or cleaned once every three months, or maybe more often.
From the tools you need to take a screwdriver, pliers and a small adjustable wrench. In addition, you need to pay attention to the place of self-installation of the dishwasher. There should be enough space on the table or pedestal so that the dishwasher stands up straight and the hoses reach the connection points.
Installation process
If we do not have communications for the dishwasher, we cannot start the connection process, so for now let our dishwasher set aside, and we will deal with the points of connection to the water supply and sewage system. Let's start with the sewer. Inspect your siphon, which is installed under the sink in the kitchen. If he has a side fitting for connecting the drain hose, then this means that everything is fine. But if you have an old siphon without a fitting, you will have to change it to a more suitable one. We do the following:
- we will get a new siphon with two fittings, let the additional fitting be in a drowned state, it will come in handy over time;
- we unscrew and remove the old siphon to the side;
- we collect and connect a new siphon.
Make sure the new siphon is screwed securely. All rubber gaskets must be in place, otherwise the siphon will let water through. No plugs need to be pulled out yet. Next, we will deal with the point of connection to the water supply.
- We block the riser with cold water and drain the water from the pipes, opening the tap of the mixer in the kitchen.
- In the place where the drain hose of the mixer is connected to the cold water pipe, unscrew the nuts and disconnect the hose and pipe.
- We connect the flow filter to the tap with a tee, correctly rewinding the connection (against the thread). The filter is screwed to the overlapping free outlet of the tee tap.
- We fasten the plastic pipe to one outlet of the tee tap, and fasten the hose to the other. We rewind the joints. The outlet overlapping by the crane should remain free. The tap on the tee must be closed.
- Turn on the water and make sure that the connection does not leak.
Well, we figured out the preparation. In the next step, we proceed directly to the connectioncompact dishwasher do it yourself. The most critical stage of work is the process of connecting to the water supply and sewage system. We bring the inlet hose to the tee tap end, screw it to the free outlet, not forgetting to wind the thread. We bring the end of the drain hose to the siphon and connect it to the outlet. If the connection seems unreliable, install a pre-prepared clamp.
Last of all, you need to open the water entering the inlet hose and connect the desktop machine to a power outlet. If there are no leaks anywhere, you can proceed to a test run of the machine.If the machine needs to be connected quickly, for a trial run, the drain hose can simply be thrown into the sink. It does not look aesthetically pleasing, but the dishwasher will work no worse.
In conclusion, we note that connecting a table dishwasher is not much different from connecting any other dishwasher. The only difference is that it is much more convenient to do this, because the body of this equipment is compact and easy to move. Have a good installation!
