In this article, we will discuss how to deactivate the beeping signal on different brands of dishwashers. Stay with us.

Shutdown on a Bosch machine

Owners of Bosch dishwashers most often wonder about turning off sound signals. The reason for this is simple, Bosch machines are very widespread, although owners of equipment of other brands are no less interested in this issue, but more about them later. On many models of Bosch dishwashers, the sound can be made smaller, or even turned off altogether, and this is done as follows.

  1. First you need to hold down the second key from the right on the control panel.
  2. Without releasing this button, turn on the dishwasher.
  3. The pressed button should blink, wait for this moment.
  4. The number 1, 2 or 3 should light up on the display. One means a loud signal, two means a quiet signal, and three (or zero) means mute.

The desired value is set by pressing the button again, which we healed from the very beginning.

That's all science is. The method by which you can turn off sound on different machines may vary. Before you do anything, look at the instructions. This will be the most correct thing. If you don’t have printed instructions, find an electronic copy of it on the Internet.

Shutdown on Electrolux equipment

Bosch isn't the only company that makes dishwashers that can be muted.On many Electrolux home assistant models, the sound is also deactivated, but this is done in a completely different way. First you need to turn on the Electrolux dishwasher. Now you need to activate the settings mode. How to do it?PMM panel

  1. Pay attention to the display. If code P1 is displayed there, then the machine is already in settings mode; if not, it must be turned on.
  2. Press the “Reset” button and hold it until P1 appears on the display.
  3. If P1 does not appear, turn off the machine, then turn it on again and hold the “Reset” button.

Having activated the settings mode on the Electrolux machine, you can start turning off the melody. Simultaneously press and hold two buttons on the control panel: one is indicated by a star, and the second by a house with the letter P inside. You need to wait until three indicators start flashing at once: two above the pressed buttons, and one above the button with the dial. Release the held buttons, and then press the button indicated by the star. We look at the screen. If the number 16 appears there, the sound is on, if 06 is off.

To switch to the number 16 or 06, press the button marked with a star. To confirm the setting, you must turn off the dishwasher. After switching on again, the final melody, which usually plays at the end of the wash, will disappear.

Disable on other equipment

On some other dishwashers you can also deactivate the sound. It’s not always possible to remove it completely, but even if you make it quieter, that’s good. For example, on dishwasher Hansa ZIM 415H The sound is not completely removed, but it can be made much quieter. This is done like this:

  • turn on the dishwasher;
  • press simultaneously 1 and 2 buttons, which are located to the left of the on/off button;
  • we wait until the machine beeps sharply and all the indicators blink;
  • as soon as this happens, you need to turn off the machine;
  • After turning it back on, the machine will sound much quieter.

The sound can also be turned off on several models of AEG, Kuppersberg, Kandy, etc. machines. To make sure that your “home assistant” can also get rid of sounds, take a look at the instructions.

So, if you want to know how to turn off the sound of the dishwasher, first of all, look at the instructions for the appliance. If there are no instructions or you cannot figure it out, read our article, in which we provided specific examples. Good luck!

    It’s a pity that they didn’t write anything about Ariston. Who has a life hack on how to turn off this damn squeak?
