The household chemicals market offers a wide variety of whitening products. Depending on the composition and effect on the fabric, bleaches can be divided into three groups:

  • chlorine-containing - aggressive bleaches, produced mainly in liquid form. Such a tool effectively copes with the task even when washing in water 400WITH.

Important! Chlorine-containing bleach, such as White, should not be poured into a washing machine.

  • oxygenated - universal bleaches that suit most types bleachfabrics, including colored ones (Persol, Swan, Sail, Vanish, Velvet, Synergetic, Belle). They can be both liquid and dry. Most bleaches work effectively only at a temperature of 900WITHbut there are also ones that can be used at 400C, they cost more. Both are suitable for use in a washing machine.
  • optical - bleaches. They include luminescent dyes that create a whitening effect, but do not bleach. They are available for different types of fabrics (Bos plus, Dr. Beckmann, Ace).

When choosing between dry and liquid bleach, consider how often you will use it. The fact is that liquid bleaches have a short shelf life of 3-4 months, while dry bleaches can be stored for up to 5 years. In addition, bleach can be selected depending on the type of fabric. There is bleach for tulle, underwear, silk products, bleaches for cotton or linen.

Have a whitening property soda ash and salt, they can also be used for a washing machine. For example, to bleach the tulle, you can add two tablespoons of table salt along with the washing powder.

Whitening in the washing machine: instruction

So, for effective bleaching in a washing machine, you can use an oxygen-containing bleach, which includes hydrogen peroxide. The bleaching process in the washing machine is much simpler than the manual method, but you must follow the instructions. Only in this way can a positive effect be achieved.

Some modern washing machines have a separate tray for bleach in the powder tray. Therefore, bleaching problems should not arise. In this case, proceed as follows:

  1. Laundry is laid in the drum, be sure to sort it by type of fabric. This means that underwear is bleached separately from other fabrics, tulle, pastel linen, and towels are separately bleached. Together you can whiten cotton t-shirts and white socks. Be careful, put only white things in the drum of the machine, one colored thing can ruin all the white ones.
  2. Then, powder and bleach are poured into the respective compartments in the appropriate compartments. The powder compartment is usually signed II, and a triangle is drawn on the bleach compartment.
  3. Next, choose a mode depending on the type of fabric. Tulle, white blouses, silk items can be washed only in delicate mode. Bed linen, cotton T-shirts and socks, towels can be washed in cotton mode at a temperature of 60 to 900C, the washing temperature is indicated on the product label, so be sure to read the information.

In some models of washing machines there is a program “Whitening”.So, we select it, but be sure to first read the instructions for the machine, and in particular everything about this program.

  4. We start the wash and wait for the result.washing machine

Everything seems simple, but what if your machine does not have a special compartment for bleach, where to pour it? In this case, it is necessary to carry out the bleaching process after the washing process. All because the powder works efficiently at 400C, and bleach at 60-900C. If the bleach is of high quality and effective even in warm water, it is possible to prewash and pour ordinary powder into compartment I, and pour dry bleach into the main compartment II. Choose a washing mode depending on the fabric and start the process.

It is not recommended to add bleach to a powder containing enzymes. The effectiveness of the powder will be reduced.

Liquid bleach is convenient in that it can be poured after the machine has collected water and the powder has reacted. It is enough to add a little water to the bleach and pour it into the main compartment, after which it will drain into the laundry drum.

Bleaching in the washing machine is convenient when you need to bleach bulky items such as tulle and bedding. In addition, it is convenient to bleach in a washing machine at a temperature of 900C, there is no risk of getting burned.

When you add potassium permanganate to the water, then baby powder, the water turns white, not pink.
