Bosch dishwasher indicators

Bosch dishwasher indicatorsModern models of dishwashers are equipped with various indicators that facilitate operation and make it clear and simple. Indicators in the form of LED bulbs are not only a source of information about the dishwashing process, but also possible malfunctions. In this article we decided to talk about the indicators of Bosch brand dishwashers.

Description of indicators

Indicators in dishwashers are located on the control panel, which is located either at the top of the front side of the machine or at the top end of the door. For all models of Bosch dishwashers, the following indicator symbols are used, shown in the picture.

Bosch dishwasher indicators

  • 1 – washing indicator (drawn brush);
  • 2 – indicator of the end of washing;
  • 3 – water supply indicator;
  • 4 – salt presence indicator;
  • 5 – rinse aid presence indicator.

In dishwasher models with a display, washing modes can be equipped with indicators, as you see in the photo below:

  • indicator 1 corresponds to temperature selection in the range 65-750WITH;
  • indicator 2 corresponds to the automatic washing program;
  • indicator 3 – select temperature in the range 35-450WITH;
  • indicator 4 is an economical washing mode at 500WITH;
  • indicator 5 – quick wash at 450WITH;
  • indicator 6 – pre-rinse.

In addition to those listed, Bosch dishwashers with display also have a time indicator. In some models, additional functions are also equipped with indicators, for example, The Hygiene Plus function is indicated by a baby bottle, and the Extra Drying function is indicated by wavy lines with a plus sign.

For your information! At the bottom of the dishwasher door there is an indicator that is projected as a red dot on the floor, it informs you that the machine is working.

Lighting up of indicators

beam on the floor in the Bosch dishwasherIn built-in Bosch dishwashers, in which the control panel is located at the end of the door, the indicators go out when closed. On machines with a remote panel, some indicators light up while the machine is operating. These indicators include washing mode lamps. At the end of the program, the “End” indicator lights up, and the red beam light on the floor goes out.

When the “Brush” indicator is on, it means that the washing process is in progress.. If the salt indicator lights up, this informs the user that the ion exchanger tank has run out of salt and needs to be refilled.

Important! If there is salt in the ion exchanger, but the salt indicator is still on, try stirring the salt, most likely the problem will be resolved.

When the rinse aid indicator lights up, it also indicates that the product has run out. The light will go out if rinse aid is added to the compartment.

Indicators flash: explanation

In cases where one of the Bosch dishwasher indicators is blinking, you need to look for a problem and malfunction in the machine. It can be either serious or simple, easily solvable. Very often, users turn to masster, when the water supply light (“faucet”) is flashing, the “End” indicator may light up at the same time. In this case, as a rule, the dishwasher may not respond to pressing the buttons, there may be a hum from the operating pump, and water does not flow. Possible reasons for the water supply sensor to blink may be:

  • the water supply tap is turned off - it rarely happens when they simply forgot to open the tap, or during washing they turned off the water to the house;
  • The fill valve is broken, so water does not flow into the machine;
  • there is a malfunction in the control board, contact burnout;
  • worked Aqua stop system after water enters the pan.

Another malfunction occurs when the “brush” sensor flashes, the machine does not wash, but you can hear the pump working to pump out water. In this case, experts recommend checking whether the Aqua Stop has worked. You can try tilting the machine a little to the side so that water flows out of the pan, then restart the program.

In some cases, two lights on the panel may flash at once. For example, the water supply sensor blinks and the rinse aid indicator blinks, provided that there is rinse aid, water flows into the machine, but the wash does not start. In this case, the experts suggest checking the circulation pump and the water supply system, but it is possible to say for sure the reason why the indicators are blinking only after a thorough diagnosis.

Please pay attention! The water, rinse aid, and salt supply sensors do not indicate errors in the event of breakdowns.

Thus, only a specialist can diagnose the exact reason why the indicators on a Bosch dishwasher blink or light up. In some cases, the lights should light up, because this is provided for by the program. But when the machine stops washing dishes and stops, you will have to disassemble the dishwasher to fix the problem. Therefore, be careful, read the instructions before you panic and do something.

    When the “brush” sensor flashes, the fault turned out to be incorrect loading of the sheet from the oven (position as in the oven).
