Reasons for activating this indicator

Water supply problems
If the "Tap" light comes on, there is a good chance that there is a problem with either the flow-through inlet filter or the inlet valve. If this model of Bosch dishwasher has a display, the machine may also display error E01. What needs to be done?
- Turn off the tee tap so that no more water flows into the machine.
- If there is an additional flow filter on the hose, then it should be unscrewed, disassembled and thoroughly cleaned of water stone and dirt.

Self-draining
The Faucet indicator may show signs of life if the drain hose is not connected to the sewer properly.It would seem, how does drainage affect the flow of water into the dishwasher? When the dishwasher fills with water, but it constantly flows by gravity into the drain, the control module can recognize this phenomenon as an inability to fill the water to the desired level. After this, the “Crane” indicator begins to blink and the machine stops working.

Thank you for the article. However, having encountered the same problem, I started looking for an answer on the Internet and discovered that it was quite popular advice to pour up to 10 liters of water into the working chamber of the machine.
After I checked and cleaned the filters and did not achieve anything, I decided to use this advice. I poured water inside the car (mine fit about 4 liters) and turned it on.

The faucet light came on in my BOSCH dishwasher. In my case, the reason turned out to be an unclosed lid of the salt compartment! After adding salt, they forgot to close this lid and water from it went into the pan, which caused a tap error. I closed the lid - the faucet indicator went out and the dishwasher started working! If you have the same situation, check the tightness of the lid for adding salt, and only then all other reasons.

I managed to partially circumvent this problem: the machine washes at 70 degrees and at 48 minutes starts a hot rinse and the tap lights up. I turn the mode controller to reset. 0 is written on the screen, the machine stops. Then I switch it to normal rinse mode and turn the machine off and on. The screen lights up for 18 minutes and the machine does a cold rinse, but ends the cycle and the dishes are clean.
This is not a workaround, it is simply ending the old program and starting a new one. And the solution... Bosch is a capricious machine, make sure that the hoses are clean, there are no blockages or excess hydraulic resistance (sharp bends, narrow drains), reduce the bending height of the drain hose, etc.

Turn off the dishwasher, turn it on its back, unscrew 2 screws, remove the tray, rinse, make sure there are no leaks in the hose system, check the module contacts. Reassemble in reverse order. Wash the dishes!))

I just encountered this problem. It was my own fault, I didn’t notice that the door rested against the ladle and didn’t close at all. I washed the dishes, but did not turn off, but only blinked the “faucet” button, and did not respond to any operation. My husband cleaned the hoses, I studied the problem. Cleaned it, turned it on - blinking. Got angry. Evening, and tomorrow I go to work. Forcefully pushed it into place and that’s it, the light went out, the machine worked!
Filling with water (2 liters) helped and held the reset button on the start button for 3 seconds.

The faucet was blinking. The pump did not turn off even with the door open. The car was pulled out. Tilted to one side. About a liter of water spilled out of the pan. And before breaking, I cleaned the inside and unscrewed the screws. Apparently it wasn't tightened too much, hence the leak. After draining the water from the pan and tightening the screws harder, everything worked.

Guys, hurray, I defeated her! The symptoms were the same as Peter’s above + sometimes error E14 popped up. I tried shaking it, turning it off, cleaning the filters, jumping with a tambourine, sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t. It ate my nerves. I found a solution on YouTube, where you just need to clean the alcohol sensor and it worked. I'm glad the scribe 🙂 can help you too.
